Ashlar-Vellum Cobalt, an old version (6 I think). Engineering program, although I hear the latest version's way better for the artistic side... alas, I can't afford it

I love the words when you said "educational license was unlimited"
then "CFD",what is that ? (really sorry for my stupidity),and I think you're right.I better didn't know the price of that program,(but I feel a little bit curious how that program will works XD)

Well, it looks like you're coming along pretty well! Sketchup's pretty much alien to me, since Cobalt uses a different method of creating objects, but Sketchup's is the more usual way,so it's definitely the better one to use. Plus $6000 for a program that can't even render that well isn't so good >.<"

what !!? $6000 are very much . Is that the price for a program called Cobalt ? or what ?

Yup! Thankfully, back when it was v6 the educational license was unlimited (nowadays it's one year), so I got it for about a tenth. Does mean I can't use it commercially, but that's not really a problem since I'm not in that field.
A while back I was looking into a program called Solidworks (since there's an addon for it to do CFD)... you don't want to know how much that was...

I think I should thank you more because you teach me how to make a 3d art using GSU, and Im still practicing to make a better mecha until now. (still figuring how to create a logical parts and its mechanical system)

its the ships man lol they all look so flimsy like they could break at any moment. it just simply isnt the Human style you know.
we tend to favor heavier functional shapes, so our ships in reality wouldnt look like that.
now that goes without saying there are some pretty cool ST designs out there but mainly they look very meak for combat.
also im glad my work has that effect

yeah,you right.
The different is between style and function, and you have a good taste at designing those ships, very good
