words cannot express the subtle beauty represented in these astonishing works of art. in addition, each work is layered with increasing depths of meaning--for instance, your egg artwork clearly speaks of the deplorable pressure put on the individual by society to maintain a hard outer exterior, much like a shell, while at the same time we're soft and squishy inside, vulnerable like a fresh nubile yolk.
the ambivalent horror expressed by the egg is paralleled only in such fine works as edvard munch's "the scream."

All people have different styles of art, whether it be a grand masterpiece or textiles, and creating stick figures in paint is just another one of the more interesting but just as awesome styles as the rest.
... alright, maybe it is true that this isn't as grand as other Deviations but I don't think it is fair to say they don't put in effort in their pictures. I personally find a lot of entertainment browsing through the gallery.

okay. I think people are taking this a bit too seriously. I mean, I'm all for "make a statement! art is art!!" But the fact of the matter is, this is just a gallery of a kid's crappy doodles on MS paint that he's dumped on dA. He/she isn't trying to make a statement.
I'm not saying I hate the art, cause it's given me some good laughs (Rukia is my personal favourite. XD), but don't call this artistic courage or simplicity or crap like that. Cause... it's not, it's just stick darwings.

Who says stick figures aren't art? Everyone has their own views on what is and isn't art. You have no right to tell people that his drawings aren't "simplicity" or "artistic courage".

You know, I like simplicity. I think that you should ignore everyone who says that you're a disgrace to DeviantArt because you don't put effort into your pictures. Has anyone here been to the MoMA? There is literally a painting of just two red squares on black... that's IT, and most people consider that a great achievement in Modern Art. It's the message and the feeling a piece invokes that makes it art. A photograph of a carcass moves one person while stick figures moves another. Anyone who demeans a piece of work for not having what THEY consider makes good art, are fools who don't know a thing about art or it's history. Now, you certainly do have a very simple gallery, and whether you were trying to make a profound statement or just wanted to mess around, I don't think it matters, I find it funny and so do a lot of other people. That fact is what makes your stuff worthy of being here, it makes people feel SOMETHING, whatever that may be, it was enough to click on it and comment and favorite, thus acknowledging it as art.

look, I'm not going to post stupid, abusive comments or just slander you and I'm sorry for saying this but you're basically making a mockery of DA, you don't put effort into your pictures, anyone could do this.
What makes it worse is that your rukia picture is on the 2nd page when you search "rukia" and people here are saying that it's cute or making a statement... this isn't a statement, all you do is post pictures that probab;y took you a few minutes then put "this is..." in the comments box.
Disagree if you want but there's no way that he/she deserves this much attention =/

It's got way out of hand though, someone getting this much attention from doing something that requires no talent or effort is pretty unjust. If she was putting effort into witty or intelligent humor then the drawing style wouldn't matter because at least it's a clever humor that requires thought, but it's not. It's paint drawings that I used to do in my graphics class while I was bored.
