In addition to the message below, and the message I've just left you on my profile page, I have an idea that might challenge you.
As you are clearly quite talented with creating cartoon characters, have you thought about getting involved with writing and literary groups; to see if there are any young, up-and-coming writers of comic books who need an artist to help visualise their characters using your skills? Its just an idea to get you used to creating and submitting work, which looks good on your cv when you eventually go to work for Marvel or DC comics. Be prepared to do a load for free, listen to criticisms, be ready to scrap work without taking it personal. Try it and see where it gets you. Cheers

well to be completely honest,
I'm not published and I actually plan on submitting the
story to some publishers after I have a sample of what it will look like.
so unfortunately I can't hire an artist, but rather I'm trying
to put a design team together and we would all receive compensation
after a publisher accepts the project and prints it.

but that doesn't mean I need a full, 100 page, fully illustrated book
to submit, most publishers ask for a 5 page sample in there submission
guidelines. So if you would be interested,
let me know and I'll tell you more about the story and plot before you
make a decision.
