Action would be Sword Art Online (The 2nd half of the 1st season is receiving flak, but the latest version is well-praised), Accel World and Tokyo Ghoul.
As for comedy, well, there's Nisekoi, Date a Live (it's more on harem) and Amagi Brilliant Park (One of the characters has the same JPN voice actress with Saber).
But since we just have the Halloween spook, you can opt for DanganRonpa, Mirai Nikki or School Days.
