Hey! It's been a lot while haha.
Since we last chatted, I started a new chapter in my life. Graduated college and found a good job. Still getting used to the big income coming in. :3
Tell me about college. When are you starting and what are your plans?

Oh my god, that's awesome 8D I'm proud for you!! What job did you get?? o3o
This September!! I'm heading off to Edmonton to go for college. It's going to be a journey because Edmonton is pretty far from me and I'll
be getting a apartment there... I need a job there first x'b I'm going to be taking paypal commissions now in hopes that it will help me.
I've been trying to get jobs around my area, it's been a little tough... none are hiring right now, but hopefully I'll be able to get one before May... or at leastΒ
before the end of may. I'm still trying. :'b

Haha thanks. I'm a web developer, but I hesitate to call it this because I'm not only writing websites. There's also authentication and testing, not to mention that the company is business oriented so working on the website requires a bit of background knowledge.
Do you know what you're going to study in college yet? Edmonton itself looks like an interesting looking city! Ever visited there before? Why Edmonton? Also what kinds of jobs are you looking at?
π: 0 β©: 1
CrowRaptor In reply to DaSpirit [2016-04-17 20:58:52 +0000 UTC]
No problem!
Oh awesome 8D Well, I'm glad you got it.
Yes of course xD In the Edmonton college there is a class called Illustration and subsequential art where we learn story-boarding and graphic novel stuff. I'm also
taking a small course on writing novels. And yeah, I've visited there. We went to the mall before. Edmonton has the things i want to learn and one of the other
colleges that I applied for didn't message me back... I was also thinking of the college called Pixel Blue in Vancouver, but it's too far away... At least Edmonton is more near by.
Jobs... Right now, anything. :'T I sent my resume to at least 8 different jobs and none have called me back yet. I might try the next town over, but... I don't have a car yet and I really want to by one myself... It's pretty tough. Especially considering i live in such a small town. Ugh... I want a apartment too... :'T I'm getting a little frustrated, but I'm still going to try.

Haha cool. It will be awesome watching you grow faster as an artist while you're be at Edmonton! And, that must have been a hell of a mall to make you like Edmonton.
Finding a job is difficult. I applied to nearly 2 dozen jobs before I received an offer. At first, I was looking at jobs that required a few years of experience, but with each application, I applied to jobs that required less years of experience up until I was applying to internships which was actually a bit ridiculous for me. You just need patience and you will find someone who wants you.

Awe thanks <3 It'll be very fun.Β
And, i never said I liked Edmonton =3=" I would rather live to Vancouver if it wasn't so expensive and didn't have the classes i wanted. So
Edmonton it is. It was a mall/hotel xD It had the Santa Maria ship built in it and you could go in and get food.
Well, it's going to be a wild ride. xD I think I plan too far ahead and get a little panicked. But thanks so much. Talking about this stuff with other people who have gone through this, helps alot. I'm going to try to apply to other places. and see what happens ^3^

Hey it's been a while huh?
So how have you been doing these weeks?
π: 0 β©: 1
DaSpirit In reply to CrowRaptor [2014-10-12 15:06:29 +0000 UTC]
Howdy. Yeah, it's been a real while.
I've been somewhat busy. I haven't booted up Windows, because I have been doing HW exclusively for the last few days. When I haven't been doing HW, my friends kept wanting to hang out, and now I'm behind on HW so can't even hang out anymore >.<
So, like always, I've been living a dry life. I thankfully found my lost items these past weeks (that I mentioned the last time we spoke), so I'm happy for that.
How are you?

Ah fudge-pops, i missed you b-day D:< Ugh, i'm dumb.

And how have you been?

DaSpirit In reply to CrowRaptor [2014-09-14 14:57:27 +0000 UTC]
Haha it's all right.
I got $200, but I also lost my wallet containing $400, so I lost money for my birthday. My wallet suddenly vanished and my mom thinks that maybe somebody broke in and took it. I can't afford to purchase all the games I wanted to now.
So how are you?
π: 0 β©: 1
CrowRaptor In reply to DaSpirit [2014-09-16 01:59:29 +0000 UTC]
Awe man, that sucks! DX
Damn, where did you last leave it? Or remember seeing it?
Maybe you can back track. .n.
I'm fine. Haven't been doing much. I might be taking courses for administration assistant.
I'm not sure about it since it takes 6 months to complete. My parents want me to do it as my college fund job
and they say you get paid 27 dollars to begin. But I'm not sure if getting a job now is better, or waiting and doing
a well paid job for 6 months is. :/ I'm going to calculate some stuff but yeah.Β

How about you? Are you enjoying your birthday? :3

That's great! and I hope it gets announced soon. Moving is an interesting exprience.
You have a fall semester? o.o well. Good luck on your exams! I think you'll do well though :'3
I'm doing fine. :'3 I enjoyed it. Next week i get a new laptop and i hope to host a livestream then. I also hope to get tomodachi, which is a cool game. Other than that, it's been fun. I haven't gotten my exam results back yet, but i did as you said and studied as much as i could and went into the exam with a 70%. So yeah. I've been having art issues but i haven't let it stop me. I've been quite good 8D

DaSpirit In reply to CrowRaptor [2014-07-09 23:45:50 +0000 UTC]
Yes, a Fall semester is in the Fall/Autumn, meaning it didn't actually start. I'm preparing ahead of time by learning Multivariable Calculus before I take it (because Calculus always scares me). I'm only watching MIT YouTube videos, I don't do exams or homework (because why bother, when I'm going to get new ones when I start classes).
I hope you enjoy your new laptop when you get it! Are you picking it out yourself?
I'm sure you'll do great on your exams! Good luck on your art too! When the going gets tough, the tough get going!

CrowRaptor In reply to DaSpirit [2014-07-10 03:36:46 +0000 UTC]
Oh okay, Thank you for clearing that up. x'D i wasn't sure
It's very good you are preparing ahead of time, especially with the hard stuff.
I might do that as well when i get to college. <3
Is multivariable calculus a math of sorts? I think i heard it before.
I certainly will :'D I mostly do my art on computers so i'm going to try to take the best care of it <3
Yes i am. I'm hoping to get an Acer. They are really good laptops with great endurance and memory. I was going to get a gaming laptop, but they are 700 dollars here and i don't want my parents spending that type of money. I would like a laptop at least 400 or less because it's not really fair.
I think I did well. Thank you! :'3Β
π: 0 β©: 1
DaSpirit In reply to CrowRaptor [2014-07-11 02:18:18 +0000 UTC]
Yes, Calculus is a math that deals with finding the slope of a curve at a point (in its most general form). I'm doing these lessons because I actually failed Calculus 2 the first time I took it, in high school. Multivariable Calculus is the third calculus course (also, I took Calculus 1 4 years ago...).
Asus is a great brand. When you're looking for a computer, make sure the GPU is fairly new. Usually, computers come with Intel CPUs (and Intel is the most popular), that have integrated graphics cards (they're built into the CPU). You have to be careful about this because in the past, Intel released incomplete CPUs. In general, you should make sure you get at least Intel HD 3000, if you still want to play some games.
You shouldn't "think" you did well. You either know you did, or you don't. In short, you should be more confident. ^^

CrowRaptor In reply to DaSpirit [2014-07-15 04:09:01 +0000 UTC]
Aye, that sounds hard. x_x I bet you did better than i would if i took it though.
I'm rooting for you to get good marks! I'm sure you will though.
Okay, i'll look into that. Intel sounds quite perfect for what i want to do.
Strong enough to contain some games and stuff, so it will certainly play Photoshop and maybe Minecraft or Wakfu.
I don't know why a company would release incomplete CPUs. It sounds-well- rushed.
Hehee, I Did awesome. 8D i got 70% on everything! This is good because i usually get a 70 on something, then get 50% on something then 40, then 60. x'D AHH i'm so happy!

Just chilling at home. My friends keep telling me that I should find a job, but I disagree. I tried to find a programming job, but I got rejected, so I've given up. If I can't find a programming job, I don't want any job, seems like a waste of time if I'm not learning anything.
Nice, where are you traveling to in Europe? Also, have you figured out what you're going to be studying in college yet?
Good luck with your exams!

Oh shist i realized i hadn't respondedto your other reply ;0; i'm sorry!
Oh nice. It's fun chilling at hoolme.
Well, having a job gets you experience and money. Money can help fund programs. Not everything will be exactly how you want it.
I myself will be working at tim hortons! I want to help fund for my college.
I know it's incredibly annoying not getting the job you want, trust me, but it will certainly help you out with something.
I'm not sure. But i hope to visit Norway, Germany and Ireland. Beautiful countries. :'D
I've decided to just head for art. If that means putting through some course in college to see if i'm good enough, then so be it. I've been told by classmates, teachers and strangers my art is nice, so i bet i can shock them with my talent.
Danke! 8D i'mma try hard

Well, having something instead of nothing is always better for a resumΓ©. Luckily, I don't have to worry about paying for college much, because I just travel instead of dorming and tuition is cheap so my parents are paying. I'm one of the lucky ones who won't graduate with any debt.
Oh nice, will you be on a road trip? Traveling is something I'd love to do in the future. Do you speak any of those languages? I know a bit German, but that's it.
Yeah, go for it! You seem dedicated to drawing, it fits that you study it. I can't wait to see you improve, when you'll graduate!

Ohh you are a lucky one! i see so many poor parents and studentsΒ
end up with dept in college. It's nice to see one have no financial worries with it
knock on wood!
Well we certainly are going to manitoba road trip. In europe i will be going on one.
I think my uncle will be going to swizterland so i might go with him there haha!
Travelling is one of those wonderful rare experiences.
Nice! i don't speak a lot of German either xD but i'll learn a bit more before i go and refresh on my notes.
Thank you so much :'D as i go through, i will put some art i work on in class online.
I was born for art, i'm sure of it :'3

Nah, I'm poor. My college is just really cheap (my school won number 2 in US's Best Value college in 2010).Β I couldn't get any financial aid when I first started college because I am an immigrant. I was eligible this year, but I did not get anything because it was filed before my parents decided to buy a house (when we had more money in the bank). I actually might have financial issues soon, because of the house, actually. My parents can actually barely pay for it. They're hoping that I graduate and get a steady job soon, so I can help with paying for the house.
Yes, traveling is one of those rare moments where you can sit back, relax and envy human culture and architecture.
I can't wait to see that art. It will be interesting to see what you create when you're forced to work in a new style. I'm sure your current style will update as well! You were definitely born for art. You have skill. You'll do well, just don't give up!
π: 0 β©: 1
CrowRaptor In reply to DaSpirit [2014-06-06 04:39:19 +0000 UTC]
Haha, i meant poor, as in i feel bad for them. I uh, really have an issue with kids my age and younger sometimes because sometimes i think they are oblivious of how much their parents do things for them. Not in "lack of money".
Immigrant? Why wouldn't you recieve financial aid because of that? |8I
Aye, if you ever need someone to talk to. I'm here. It all sounds incredibly stressful... i just hope everything goes well
Oh indeed. Quite marvelous heehee. Where do you plan on travelling? ^-^
I can't wait either. It'll be so interesting! I will certainly look for anatomy and different mediums 8D
Thank you so much! :'D Ahh. And to you, don't give up either!

Eh doing okay. XD i think the world has receded away from me. No one likes talking to me. Not too much on dA, but in real. But, on the plus side, i've been understanding school better. I improved a lot. And i might start my college in january and go for a few months to Europe. C:
π: 0 β©: 1
DaSpirit In reply to CrowRaptor [2014-05-08 01:01:46 +0000 UTC]
Nope, all colleges have finals in May. Otherwise, how else would there be enough time for a Summer semester (which I am not participating in, by the way)? And actually, my college is 2 week late compared to other colleges. It really sucks, especially when my friends have spring break, they always have it while I'm in school and busy. :/
What do you mean by receded? Maybe you just haven't found the right friends. You shouldn't worry about it too much. At one point in my life, I had too many friends and they kept bugging me daily to go do stuff with them. Anyway, it just takes time. I'm sure you'd find friends in college (this might take time though, personally I didn't make any friends during my first semester of college).
Oh cool, where would you be going to in Europe?

Hi! I'm doing rather fine at the moment. Finished my midterm exams last week, so things are calming down and now my family has until July 31st the move out.Β My parents are looking at houses as we speak. I'm doing alright. I went shopping with my mom while my brother and dad watched Captain America. I'm working on art and studying for my biology and chemistry. It finally stopped snowing too. Other than that, i've been looking at colleges. C:
