I killed him. Or…
He killed himself while I was holding the gun.
He was wearing our cape, the reddish one that signifies our tribe. And since we’re the biggest tribe, and the most powerful… well, I think that’s why he chose us. Why he chose me, I don’t know.
You remember what I told you yesterday, how I met him on the battlefield? I thought he was just some Green soldier, just some classic big soldier who was all full of himself. Turns out, he’s not. He’s actually this big-shot prince, most popular guy in Green.

I forgot to mention... he had eyes... these eyes that looked just like cat eyes, yellow and all, with a black stripe straight down the center. On the field, he’d had a mask like all the Greens. A big grey mask with grassy chevrons so you couldn’t see their eyes. But, helmet off, his eyes had purple rims right around the edges, where the skin meets the eyeball.
