I am, and I do some character sketching as well, but these days, I'm stuck job searching.

You've probably heard of Danny Phantom, well, I've developed a literally Spiritual Sequel to it, and I hope it can bring back the golden age of storytelling in animation.

buuuut, as I'm sure you're well aware, you need connections to even get close to the doors of the industry. but being a Mid-westerner, that's impossible.

It is a difficult industry. But keep trying. If you love it keep pursuing it and you will be a success.

oh I have been trying, but when the best shot you have happens to be your inspiration, but also happens to have an inferiority complex, AND the next chance is a great shot, only he's a voice actor and that's pretty low on the industry rungs.

Thats a shame but there is never only one chance. One of the first times I met with a client it was exciting because they were a pretty big company but it didn't work out because they didn't want to pay want it costs to produce animation. Its was a real downer but they were very nice and I learned to just take a day and come back fresh.

Try promoting yourself on social media. Website, Linkedin, etc... My best advice would be to create a project. In your case, maybe write a book. I don't know what you like to write but that could be a good start. If you promote it yourself around town first, it won't cost much. It would take time to do so but it would at least be getting yourself out there. When I put out my children's book I went to a local library with book authors from my area. It was small and not a great turnout but one thing lead to another. Every time you go out and meet people you are networking and that can lead to jobs.

technically, I only have the summary overview and character designs. I have the tidbits of specifics of the story in my head and will reveal them when the time is right.

Yeah, it is a shame. It could've had so much potential. But I am glad Dino Charge is so good. I try to look at SS and PR as two completely different shows.

Yeah it's hard. Animation is a very time consuming process especially when you are creating it by yourself. Just take it slow each little bit gets you closer to completing something.
