Hey!
My boss really loves your ships size comparison and would love to have a print on his wall of it. The only problem is that even in that huge size it is a bit pixely even with 1mm high letters.
Could there be an original picture with even better resolution?
Or have you heard about anyone printing out this monstrosity?

Just here to say that you are, quite frankly, a legend between my friends and I. Your starship comparison chart has solved countless debates and sparked endless conversations. The only reason we stop is because we're human and something physical gets in the way (Darn you, sleep!). If you ever bother to update it again (considering how much effort it undoubtedly takes, I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't), I'll love to see it, and any other enormous super size comparison charts you may or may not make. I'm glad someone was willing to take the time to gather so much data into a single, enjoyable form. I hope you continue being excellent.

Dirk I'm a huge fan of your starship size comparison I've downloaded on all my devices and looked at it every day for years. I beg you to make a new one on a slightly bigger scale starting with ships the size of the unsc infinity and mass effect reapers and ending with ships such as the mass effect nexus, covenant super carrier, sidonia, and include many new ships that have been created since the last time you updated your chart. Please.

Amazing Starship Comparison Chart. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE continue to keep it updated! For instance, I think it would be OUTSTANDING to add in the MCU ships - most notably Guardians of the Galaxy, and the first Avengers (e.g. the Chitauri ships and whales).
I know none of us have any right to ask for that - what you've accomplished is enough on its own - but IF you ever felt like it, and IF you ever got around to it, it would be OUTSTANDING and your praises would be sung far and wide
Hell, you might even want to offer others to help you, as a community-based collaborative effort!
Anyway, your work is amazing, and thanks again for sharing it with us.

You do great work! But by and long it does seem you have taken DA on by storm with your Size Comparison - Sci Fi Spaceship poster. Amazing work and a very valuable reference. As I mentioned in that thread, I am surprised no one thought of doing this on a scale like this before.
BTW, I am German too, but born here in the U.S. So how are things going over in Deutschland?

We're the island of the lucky ones in a sea of storms, that's how it is right now. There's a number of wars around the corner, but so far nothing spilled over; there's economical upheaval and crisis in Europe, but elsewhere; there's even been substantial wage increases in recent years. Add to that the stabilit of a somewhat dull government (Merkel quite probably has another term ahead, mabe two), and there's not even a viable populist rightist party like Front National, FPÖ or Anel - the only contender, the AfD (Alternative for Germany) is disintegrating, in fact (over support of dubious street protests against migrants).
Nothing indicates this will go on forever (in fact, there's a host of possible catastrophes justa round the corner), but so far, the major draw of this country these days is the weather, which is a lot like the Pacific Northwest, only a bit gloomier.
As for the chart, I was baffled nobody had done this before, either. There's of course Jeff Russel's Starship dimensions, and Dan Carlson's chart - both of them helped me a lot and inspired me to do this - but neither is quite as comprehensive. Actually, this chart started out as me doodling and adding some Warhammer and Star Wars ships to Dan Carlsson's chart, and then kinda grew from there (Halo was next, then Macross aka Robotech, then ... well, it kinda expanded).

Sorry to hear that Germany has been having it's troubles as well. As you probably know, our economy has not been doing so hot as well. The trouble is that our country is just farming out too much of the work we normally did here over to China. Manufacturing had been seeing all time lows as the government here want to shut down any building with a smoke stack. For the person that wants to create with their hands, it has been tough to make a living here. What further drives us down is how the medical system is handled here. Doctors and medical institutions take advantage of insurance companies creating ridiculously high bills. In the end people still end up paying a good portion of the bill, kind of defeats having insurance in the first place. This puts people here further in debt, mainly those with a fixed income such as the elderly. So the doctors and medical facilities here stay rich and everyone else is put in the poor house. The thing the government really needs to do here in the US is to put a cap on how much doctors can make for starters. I can go on and on about other issues we have here in the U.S. but I don't want to bore you to death.
Getting back to the interesting stuff, the artwork here on DA:
I saw your chart logging on the other day and I was like, WOW! The sci-fi world sure needs an information source like this. It reminded me of the detailed drawings I have seen in the DK publishings.
Yes, I have seen the Warhammer and Star Wars charts you have done, but your latest creation is obviously an 'enhancement' to say the least, covering ships from many stories. Yes, I have seen the Halo and Mass Effects ships too. I didn't find the Odyssey nor the ships from Firefly, but I really didn't have a chance to look over the whole thing either. I found the ships from Farscape. So all in all your comprehensive ship collection is now becoming and Easter egg hunt.
The Lifeforce alien spaceship is another must to add:

Also, I didn't see the semi circular ships that were in Alien and Prometheus. Whether or not they will make it into the 'Large Ship Edition' or not would remain to be seen I guess, (and entirely up to you). But it sure seems that you have garnered quite a bit of interest in your project.
Anyway, you have done a great job with the first one and I can't wait to see the next one you have in the works. Amazing stuff and really nicely done!

Just wondering (You're probably obscenely busy with updating & adding ships due to every comment & whim you hear from people on your original Spaceship Chart) but are you planning on making a Space Station, & Star Fighter type chart in the future?
So like an 'everything from Star Forge/Deathstar-to-DS9' type scale station chart, a small flying crafts space & land (Anything under small frigate I mean); so snow speeders, jets (If applicable), Lambda shuttles, TIES, Runabouts, ect, & a land vehicle chart; AT-AT, ground tanks, (Maybe infantry perhaps, long shot I know) ect,
of all the franchises previously listed in the chart you already have made?
It would be pretty interesting to see multiple charts of different classifications of vehicles from many different spectrums (Particularily those 3) added into different individual charts since there's really no way you'd be able to get land vehicles, star fighters (The Death Star) all fitting onto 1 image nicely.
Let me know if you're planning on doing this, it would be pretty interesting to see put together.

Yes, though space stations have a far more vast difference in size, from tiny stations to bases that fit Executors in their smaller hangars. Will have to cap there, too. But it's definitly in the books, same with a small ships chart.
