Hi, I'm Nat. :):) I am the author of a series of books set in feudal Japan.

This is from this March. It doesn't look as if SOPA is being taken to the government again, though the copyright lobbyists appear to be going straight to the companies instead of getting a legal ruling. No companies have agreed on it yet and it doesn't look like they've decided on the final form it will take.

You got me thinking and I'm going to start a Facebook group for our genre of literature. There's loads out there for, for example, romance or action and so on, but samurai stuff just doesn't get enough recognition. I wondered if you'd like to join. It would be an opportunity to promote your book.

In particular I'd like to see more work involving the Late Edo/Boshin/Meiji era. 1800s is my favorite period of history and Japan's shift in the 1850s upwards from a closed nation to a nation of progress is often overlooked in World History classes. That's why I LOVE the new Kenshin films, because it's the kind of samurai flick I've been longing for for a LONG time.
