I'm aware its getting bad reviews, but I'm of the mind that you should see the movie itself and form your own opinion on it rather than mindlessly listening to reviews

That's true. I posted a status last week when Dark Tower and Detroit came out trying to get some fan casting ideas. was saying how it was getting bad reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. I never listen to anything on RT and just see the movie for myself. I have heard they tried to cram 8 books into one movie. I was kinda upset when they said it was PG-13,but I think that would work better as a TV series than a movie but that's just me. I'll get around to seeing it myself.
