I've seen the progress in Maya too. Good luck with that, Maya can be a terrible headache sometimes
But at the same time it's wonderful what it can do too.
Can't wait to see the first renders creeping out ^-^, but all in due time.

Well Maya isn't the easiest package to learn out there xD. There's so much little things that easily backfire.Β
I guess it's that struggling that's taking the most time hm?
Maya takes time, a lot. I had to sacrifice a good amount of time too without it yielding much :I
Biggest part is understanding the hierarchy of Maya's commands. Which is also the cause of that mirroring issue.
Are there still annoyances you'd want me to look at?

Hey I was wondering whether you still had issues with hypershade not reading your maps correctly.
If that is the case, you probably need to tweak the 'alpha gain' settings to bring out the definition more.
(Also, did they lecture about linear workflow yet? Like, setting the gamma at the right value in both programs? Otherwise blacks/whites are interpreted differently and that can lead to unwanted results.
Other than that, any other issues? I read a few but I'm not sure whether you fixed them already or not, if so, feel free to tell ^-^

meh, i did what the uni told us. The material and light attributes i messed around with, i dont even know what i tweaked and clicked lol. Β But im on holiday now in greece and have shyt internet so im barely on.

It sucks that I cant spend It with you, missing you heaps 
I'm now on shift work so i work 4 days and i have 4 days off, unfortunately some months i end up working weekends and others i work during the week and have the weekends off (its just how my roster works)
