I really enjoyed looking at your gallery...such beautiful pet portraits. I see you have Corgi's and I was thinking about getting one. I was thinking about getting a Pembroke instead of a Cardigan just because I'll be living in a condo and I heard the Pembroke tend to be a little bit smaller. Do you have any advice/words of wisdom?

Either Corgi breed can live in a condo/apartment. But remember they're *NOT* small dogs, just short-legged. They're working breeds, bred to drive whole herds of cattle. They tend to be active, and bossy. Often are barky/loud. If you're considering a Corgi I recommend puppy and basic obedience classes, as well as something for the dog to do to stay entertained and happy. Some Corgis adapt to being couch potatoes, but are often fat, and unmotivated after a while is is a sad life for such a dignified active breed.
When I got my first Cardigan we lived in an apartment, but are active, and I train my dogs, plus we do things with the dogs so it works out well.

I plan on getting a puppy and luckily their is a grassy area in the back where we can play/work. The other good thing is that my fiance works days and I work nights so this allows to spend a lot of time with the dog. We also love to go hiking. My only concern is the barking...but perhaps the obediance training will help with that.

I've owned quite a few different breeds and in my opinion, Bostons ARE THE BEST!!! They have the most awesome personalities ever. If you ever decide to get one, adoption/rescue is a great option! That's where we got Kensi... she had been homeless in Columbus OH... she was pitiful and timid, but she has blossomed into a beautiful little girl!!!
