Yep I'm alive... I'm now trying to delve my brain back into my grid notebook and make some new designs so that I can continue doing what I have been.

But I need some shape ideas... I'm running a little dry in that department...

It's seriously a nifty piece. I found it while googling art nouveau. Been thinking of trying out the art style, but wanted to see some other work to get a feel for it, and this popped up. It's really awesome ^_^

ah, I thought you had done something with the gradiant mesh tools. I rather sorta suck at using that, so I was wondering if you had tips. But photoshop is alright to. Either way, my point is I really suck at putting depth in my color pieces. ^_^;;

Well, in Photoshop, I use the 'smudge' tool to create the shadows as well as manipulate colors in the image. There's a lot of patience involved but it'll definitely work for adding depth into any piece.
