Hey, nice! I'm actually gearing up to do a graphic novel and writing the script while hammering down character designs, so this was a serendipitous bit of encouragement!

Hi there. Are there any updates with the last tier being sent out? I sent you a message on Twitter too, I just figured I'd send a message here as well in case it gets missed somehow. I'm not intending to sound impatient, I'm just a bit worried since I haven't seen any updates lately. I also had a really bad experience with the Beasts of the Mesozoic figures- they must have gotten lost in the mail somehow, and the owner refused to give me anything in exchange for my loss and even accused me of lying. So I'm constantly worried about someone stealing packages off our porch now. =/ (So far, no other losses, knock on wood!)

I'm still working on the plushes. It's slow but steady progress. But I promise I intend to fulfill everything! No excuses!
And I promise I will let you know when the package is heading out so you can watch for it, and provide you with a tracking number.

Question: What would the Triassic be like in the Mark of the Conifer universe? Would the pact existed at that time?
π: 0 β©: 1
Droemar In reply to Toon-Rex [2019-05-07 16:17:31 +0000 UTC]
Boy, I have no idea. I guess it's possible that it could, or a form of it could have existed. I mean, it was millions and millions of years, so perhaps something was different. But between hunter and hunted there would have been some need for accord. Maybe it was developing back then and less common.

Youβre welcome and I hope to see more work from you. BTW, what would crocodiles be like in the world of the Mark of the Conifer?
π: 0 β©: 1
Droemar In reply to Toon-Rex [2019-05-07 16:21:44 +0000 UTC]
They appear very briefly as predators during the fire. They probably have their own language and culture outside the Pact, and probably had a river or water deity that they see as equal to Sol. I imagine I would've given them something similar to the Ornis: knowing they survive into modern times they would've bragged that they're perfect and blessed by Sol.

Maybe you should create a deity for crocodiles sometime and it a name like Crushing Jaws From the Deep or something like that.

hello, I noticed that you seem to have some raptor adoptables in your gallery that you posted years ago and that some didn't sell
I'm kinda curious if you would be willing to accept art for one of them?
(figured I'd ask before posting an offer. You can visit my gallery to see some of my works)

Hi im DeinocheirusMaster and I been trying to get a good start on a book sort of like yours with dinosaurs. I haven't really quite started on it yet. Its called the Tyrant Clan. Its about a clan of tyrannosauroids vs Dromeosaurs. Could you please help with trying to get a sort of plan out on making it.

Unfortunately, Iβm postponing the book Dominant to a later time. Im in the process of writing a book about whale evolution called βWhen the whales had hoovesβ. I hope to write Dominant some other time in the future.

Aww, okay. That sounds like a good book as well, I'm just very biased towards tyrannosauroids.Β

Congratulations on having your story published! I had the privilege of reading your novel this week and I have to tell you, I just couldn't put it down until I got to the end! You crafted such a beautifully written world with beautiful illustrations; I'm so proud to have this book on my shelf. I've been following this project since high school and Mark of the Conifer was so influential in my journey as an artist. It was so worth the wait to see it completed. Congratulations again!

Sol sees you, for I have completed the story! Take pride that I can read so fast and still enjoy it! I loved it, I really loved it down to its core. I will not say much without any desire to spoil those who have not read it yet, but I must say it was a great read! I loved all your characters, but I think Leaf had to be my most favourite asides Ifrit, Cheharraphix, and friggin Rainstrider.
I love sauropods, and you did not even frown upon her with her storyline, defying her herd's traditions about cows staying with the herd while bulls fight battles. That's definitely a rebellious podlet if I ever saw one.
I would point out a certain scene near the end, but that be very spoilerish, but I kind of saw it coming. Seen a couple of dinosaur movies have it happen before, who am I to complain? Well done! Well done accomplishing your dream!
Good luck in future stories!

I'm so glad to hear that! I'm really glad to hear you liked Leaf; I was afraid her being a sauropod would make her "boring" in the face of "cooler" carnivore dinos. If you'd like to send me a note, I'd love to hear more about why you liked Rainstrider and the others! But I'm blushing and relieved over here that you loved it.

The book is currently in proofing. Should be available for purchase around mid-December/January in three forms: ebook, softcover, and hardcover.
Thanks for your interest!

Hey Droemar, how are things going? Hope that you aren't pushing yourself too hard on your Conifer deadlines. I'm wishing you the best of luck on getting everything finished in regards to that.Β
Just read through your Canis comic and really enjoyed it. I liked the points you brought up throughout it too. Something that I think fits with what you said in that thus far into it is a comic here on dA called Africa by ARVEN92. They have managed to do a lot of good work on keeping animals, animals. The only truly 'human' elements thrown into the comic thus far have come from an leopard raised by humans. Maybe you'll enjoy it? Just thought to share it with you.
Anyways, best of luck in your project.

I'm moving slower than I would like on Conifer, but I am getting work done. I suppose that's the important part.
I have read Africa once or twice when it's come up on my feed, but I don't think I've sat down and really read it all the way through. It's pretty good, though, especially for being all hand-done.
