hello there, someone referred you to me. i have an alpha a330 and i was wondering if there is a way to create my own bracket for some shots i want to use for an hdr project i am doing. the a330 has the autobracket function but the exposure step is only .7 and i need a much larger step, like 2. is there a way to set up a bracket at these exposure values, 0, +2, -2? thank you in advance for any help you can give

Hey there.
I guess you are shooting from a tripod or at least a point where you can rest your cam ?
If you want to take an HDR you should totally ignore that bracket function and do it manually then.
There is one point which is crucial: You are getting a lot of vibrations.
While setting up your shots you should turn off the Steadyshot as it interfers badly. On a tripod there is nothing that needs to be balanced out so the Steadyshot is just making your shot worse (that's something proven ) .
Second of all: While shooting set your 2 sec timer to get rid of any vibrations or simply use a remote. This is done for the same effect as above. Reducing vibrations.
This is the proper way to shoot a good HDR
Otherwise you are stuck with that function - You cant do anything about it.
Hope this helped you

yes, thank you very much for responding. i have a tripod but it is a very old unstable tripod, i was hoping there would be a way to set the camera up to shoot all of the different exposures with just the one press of the shutter release button. i do the 2 second timer as well. i never realized how much pressing the shutter release button could shake the camera until i started messing around with hdr. thank you again so very much for the assistance!
