The frog on your avatar looks just like our frog Peepee when he wants to be green, he usually favours brown though.

Hah I think its all april fools stuff...though by this time you had probably worked that out. and I don't know what the Llamas about, but they are just there so I gave a few out.
I've been good thanks, started a new job recently, bought a pet lizard, bought a car, things are pretty fine. Yourself? I am looking forward to the spring weather to finally kick in so I can start going out and finding stuff to photograph again.

Oh right, April fools is a buzz.
It would have been a bit late here though haha
That sounds like a great refreshment.
I probably need a new job and a car. But my two blue tongue lizards are all good.
I have been pretty happy lately I am on my school break and have hardly any homework.
I haven't had the chance to work on my practical work in my photography class but will be ready to start shooting soon :]
Seems as though we can relate to a few situations
The future appears exciting

I am glad your photography is going well, you have a lot of talent, I know you'll go far with it. I think I am slowly refining my style...definately enjoy photographing wildlife most of all; especially reptiles. Question; do you live in a part of Australia that is blessed with an abundance of wild lizards? Do you get to see wild Bluetongues or Beardies around where you live? Must be fun if so. Glad your skinks are well, they are so funny. I am not sure if I have seen a photograph of your skinks, if I have not, you should upload a picture!

It is good to see people grow in their ambitions.
We do it well
If you enjoy wildlife photography, it is a great idea to stick with something you are experienced in.
Down here in Victoria there are quite a lot of blue-tongues found in the bushy environments.
So not such as surprise when you find one, there is a change in colour depending on Australia's climate.
Not so easy to find the bearded dragons though.
Yeah...I have been slack and haven't uploaded a photo of my lizards.
Might take a photo of them chrunching on a snail

You are lucky to live in a place with such a diversity of life, not saying that the UK does not have that, but we are a lot smaller. We only have a total of three native lizard species, and I have only ever seen one of them. I'd love to meet a bluetongue or a beardie in the wild, or one of those lovely Moloch lizards that you saw, the thorny devils. Would be great.
And yes stop slacking and share those blue tongues with the world! Its funny because I really can't stop photoing my bearded dragon, I have to refrain from saturating DA with him, so far I've held back and only uploaded 2 photographs and one drawing.

That is interesting, I didn't realise you guys only had three native lizards.
I loved catching lizards when I went away as a child, good times :]
I don't think you are saturating DA with your bearded dragon, if anything you need more
I won't have time now take photo
I am going away until Monday night and I have to charge my camera battery.
This holiday = no facebook + no internet :/

Yep just three, and only a handful of snakes and frog species, it can just get too cold in the winter for a substantial cold blooded ecosystem to root itself. We have the Slow Worms (Glass Lizards), which are a skink species that have no legs at all. I used to see them a lot, I would like to catch them, they mostly live in like, compost heaps around here or in piles of grass, because the decomposition produces a lot of heat. Then we have Common and Sand Lizards..that are just, rare as heck, I've never seen either one of them.
Have a nice weekend away, catch up with you when you get back.

You have explained all that pretty damn well and it seems fair enough about the weather/climate and the difference in ecosystens.
We do have the 'legless' lizard around some parts, not sure whether they are similar to glass lizards though.
In the end, I enjoyed the majority of my weekend.
I didn't have a chance to sketch any landscapes but I did take a few great photos.

So were you out camping with a few friends or something? What sort of things did you go and see? I don't know where you live so I don't know if you're in the tropical areas, the temperate areas or the desert areas of that vast continent you call home.
Glad you got something out of it, though I hope you had a good time.
P.S, show me those skinks! I've been trying to work on another drawing, they are hard to start, quite intense little projects really, take a lot of time.

Well I drove my family up to a more northern state which is warmer.
We met another family up there and stayed by the beach.
Just a bit of site seeing, swimming and small theme parks to visit for some time away.
I had a pleasant time with some edited photos to upload soon
I do want to help you start another project so I will try and take nice photos ASAP

Thats good to know, we have a small zoo as well! Mostly lizards, with a few frogs and a snake, spiders, scorpions....beetles...and a cat. >.>
I enjoy your pictures of the brown anoles, we have a few of those, though their are plenty outside usually as well, they are very good models for photographs.

Unfortunately we don't get wild anoles over here. There are only six reptile species in the whole of the UK.

Oh yes of course, I am from the UK myself, but I spend a lot of my time in Florida, and will probably be living there in the not too distant future, at least for a while.
