If you read carefully he's not talking about moving from one body to another.
Yes, I know you're into Hinduism and not Buddhism but they are very similar in some aspects so it might be worth noting that.

I know what it means, and yes, they are similar. I have read up on Buddhism a lot. However, I still believe what I believe.

What's you reason for believing that one soul travels from one body to another?

Because I don't see a reason as to why it couldn't be plausible. Plus, from my own head as I've been explaining. If I feel I've experienced past lives, then clearly I'm going to have to believe that a soul can travel into another body. Plus, there are several Vedic and Hindu texts to back me up, which is my prime belief system - considering the fact I am a large Vaishnavite that also helps.

Well it's possible but I think what's going on here is a confirmation bias.
Do you have any empirical evidence of past lives? There could be several other explanations you know. It could have been a dream you had, or it could be a ghost trying to tell you it's story. I'm not saying it's any of those things for certain but it's just hard to see anything conclusive about it. But I guess it doesn't really matter that much unless you're using this belief for evil purposes.
Some think that people are born into social classes based on their past lives and that means that people in the lowest class (the untouchables) are bad people and don't deserve good things in life.

I have the best piece of evidence. Myself and what I believe. I don't believe it's a story or dream. If things line up EXACTLY with things in the way in which they occur, and look EXACTLY like they do in real life although I've NEVER been there let a lone see images or video of the places - I'd say that's a key.
I do believe that what you live now are explainable from your actions in your past life. If you were an evil person, then I'm sure the next time you gain a human life, it won't be too pleasant. Each life is meant as a lesson - you learn something in each one, and are born a certain way for a certain reason and lesson.

Ok well let's say that you are born into a different class for your actions. Wouldn't it be good to treat everyone equally regardless of their past lives? Wouldn't it be good to be nice to everyone regardless of their past lives? I think that if you treat someone badly because you think they were bad in a past life that would mean bad "karma" for you and that you would be born into the bad life yourself next time. Right?

I would personally, but not everyone would. I agree. I don't think you should treat anyone badly, regardless of their actions in this life of their last. I also believe that anyone can reach some sort of redemption, even those that have fallen in a sense. All in all, judgement will come to all, but I'm not the one that will cast it. If I were to, I think that could come back upon myself.
