It isn't him. He confirmed it himself on Twitter about a year ago. He didn't even know someone would be posing as himself on dA. 
Plus, Mr. Wood doesn't seem to be an egotistical jerk who posts too many pictures of himself IMO. He seems more of a food photography kind of guy. ^^
