# About me
Photography has been my hobby – my passion for over 35 years – 35mm, medium format, and even 4×5. I take mainly Landscapes, Waterscapes, Nature, and Macro Photographs in both B&W and Color.I use a variety of graduated neutral density filters to improve dynamic and tonal range of my images. I currently use a Pentax 67II and a Canon 5D Mark II cameras.
I love to travel for the sake of taking photographs. Some of my favorite places are Scotland, Nova Scotia, Maine, Canadian Rockies, Pacific Northwest, California, Alaska, Hawaii, and Desert Southwest.

Hope you and Thomas (I think I am getting that right) are well. I'm doing pretty well myself.
Still sending the flowers every day (over 6,500 so far), still doing the movies. My granddaughter Elizabeth has a 1-year-old daughter, Isabella, who -- of course -- I adore.
I'm starting to heal a bit about losing Sarah Jones. I've stopped crying every time I think of her. I appreciate your "fav" on the journal. I guess I wrote it for myself as much as for anyone else.

So how did parts of Scotland compare to Nova Scotia, and the Eastern Seaboard of USA ?
I've done Rockies, and Scotland, Norway, Alps but not (yet) further north than Washington DC

The Western Isles reminded me a lot of Cape Breton, NS as did her people too. The eastern seaboard US has some similarities but a lot more differences. The Canadian Rockies are outrageously beautiful. I have never been to Norway or the Alps but those places are on my bucket list.

Cape Bretton. I read a book about a family of Scottish anscestry that lived there, and one side of the family continue to live on a remote part, whilst a brother lives in a city somewhere... Lives intertwine and come to a dramatic conclusion - no great mischief - loved it. Cape Bretton on my list, together with Maine. On my early planning bucket list
