I'm hardly ever seen without a book, and I like coffee and embroidering and video games. I have pointed opinions and controversial views, but it's likely we'll agree on something. I'm an eccentric who spends hours writing about fantasy worlds and conflicted characters. I love nonsensical conversations, pointless silliness, and random knowledge. I'm a critic, an infallible optimist, and an athletic enthusiast with aspirations of running marathons.I live an extraordinary, incredibly busy life. I'm probably one of the oddest people you'll ever meet.
I currently attend the University of Wisconsin--Platteville for Art Education. I work two jobs and hardly sleep.

Hey Katie. I know it's been a long long time since our days of iScribble and chatting about silly things and drawing almost every day, but I still treasure those memories and keep them very close to my heart. They were such happy times and I look back on them with so much fondness. And you, Katie... you were always such a huge inspiration to me and have continued to stay that way even now. I don't have much time to draw anymore, but I try to keep it up as much as I can and it always makes me think of those iScribble days. You really helped me continue to want to improve and even now I still love your work. You were always such a generous and kind person that I looked up to - I still think the world of you and I treasure every single thing you did for me, whether it was as small as just talking via chat or note, or as big as your amazing and lovely surprise art gifts. Thank you for having been part of my life - I know you touched the lives of so many others too, and your memory lives on in the hearts and minds of all those people, me included.
Hope you're still drawing and being amazing, wherever you are. I'm thinking of you

This is weird.
When we started talking again last year, I always wondered where we'd be a year from that point. Where our futures would lie, and all that good stuff. You said that you didn't think teaching was your thing anymore and were looking to pursue other endeavors, and I can't help but wonder what those endeavors would have been had fate been kinder. With the massive struggle I've gone through this past year, I sorely wish you were there to talk to.

Hey Katie,
First off, I just got the news, I just got back a month ago from the military due to an injury. Of course I'm sure you are already aware of that fact. I thought I'd say something on here rather than facebook. It just kinda felt odd saying it on facebook. I mean, I met you on here because of the how to draw your dragon tutorial you made for art disabled people like me, lol. You're actually the reason I joined dA, so I could talk to you and learn more about how to draw. It was awesome to find out you were a cross country runner and I enjoyed our conversations. As soon as my foot heals up, I will attempt to run a full 26.2 miles in memory of you. I remember, how I always would say it's cold down here when I run and I have to dress for it. Then you would turn around and say it's 14 degrees up here and I run in shorts. Totally took me off my drama box of how bad I have it with running in the cold, lol. You were cool.
Also from what I knew of you, you were nice, outgoing, funny, and totally out there. I could be wrong with that last one there and forgive me if I am, but I thought you were awesome. I'm going to miss your art work as you had some really great drawings that I still wish to this day I could draw. Oh! I will post my latest drawings of dragons and other dragon related stuff! You will see them, possibly from the other side, I think, yes! Anyways, I will miss your art work! I will say, when I first saw your tomb stone, I didn't think it was real, I thought that maybe one of your friends found a name on a really old tomb stone and put your picture next to it. I have messed up friends, they would totally do that to me. XD I then saw the dates and then went too your profile page to find out it was actually reality. It was shocking too see that you were actually gone. You'll be missed, Katie. May you rest in peace.

I... can't believe this... I wasted so many chances to get back in touch with you and share new art and continue our years-long friendship... And now you've been taken away from us forever; a beautiful life robbed of such a bright future. I never thought I would know what it would be like to have someone I knew and cared about pass away--it seems like we'll all live live forever, right? We may have only known each other online, and the past few years I've let my stupid anxiety and depression get in the way of talking to you more often, but I thought of you nearly everyday. Both your passing and not making the effort to say just one thing to you before this happened hurts me so much. I don't know how I'm going to properly cope with this... But ignoring my selfish, idiotic self... May you rest in peace, dearest Katie. You will live on in the memories of mine and everyone else's whose lives you've touched.

Oh...ohmy! Someone recognized the quote from my signature! Hooray! I am incredibly jealous that you're from the East Bay area! Southwestern Wisconsin's music scene is prettymuch limited to whatever happens in Madison or Dubuque... Rancid is one of my favorite bands. Their newer album, Dominoes Fall, was prettymuch the soundtrack of the prior summer. :3
