YAY! I'll definitely be doing a cosplay from the universe, it's just a matter of who. XD I wanna make sure we have as many of the major main characters as possible (Chrom, Lucinia, the Avatar) before I go and choose a different person~ ^^

I see. There is a fair amount of Lucina- I wouldn't blame them though, she's an amazing character (my favorite too : D)

I'm torn between Chrom, the Avatar, and Gaius, which is a shame. I'd love to do all of them, but something tells me that's a bad idea. Chrom's rough because of his armor, where Gaius (since I'd do assassin!Gaius) is annoying because of the protrusions from his arms. The Avatar's the most detailed, but honestly would probs be the easiest of the three. I think Lucinia is a little too girly for me, as strange as that sounds. I have a tendency to cosplay guys, so the Avatar (whose gender is decided by the player, as you well know XD) or one of the guys would be better for me.

Oof that's a hard pick. I absolutely despise Chrom's armor- but in a more artist sense because drawing it is terrible haha. But I can see how it's difficult. (Also, how does his armor even stay on?! I don't understand! It just stands.. on his shoulder.) 
Oh my, the FEA Assassin outfit is super cool. The daggers and arm blades looks tedious but compared to Chrom's straps and armor.. I'd think it'd be slightly easier? 

Definitely Avatar would be easiest and you'd probably wouldn't have to do the hair much being that the Avatar is "us" -it'd be awesome to go in with like one of those crazy Avatar hairstyles though haha! 
It's funny for Lucina went as a boy for a while- but I can understand what you mean! 
All three of your ideas are really good and the world needs more of all three anyways, so choose well

Yeah, Chrom's a pain. Add to that there's a lot of detail work besides the armor, and he's a headache waiting to happen. (I'm not sure how it stays on...super glue? Gorilla tape? Magic? A wish and a hope?)

They would probably be easier to make, but harder to wear at a convention (what with most cons having a restriction on protruding armor [and for good reason]). I'd be afraid of running into people with 'em and either breaking them or hurting someone on accident. The lollipops would be fun to make tho...

Avatar's fun 'cause, as you say, wouldn't need to do much hair/face/eyes wise, since it's up to the player. I could even wear glasses! It'd be nice to not have to wear contacts for a cosplay - I find them really annoying. Who knows? Maybe I'd find an awesome wig and just wear that.

And it's true Lucina went as a boy (and I've cosplayed as a guy dressed as a girl [while I'm a girl] XD) but I just don't see her outfit being as mcch fun. It's also a costume that's been done a lot. I haven't seen many, if any, cosplayers do the Avatar.

I shall choose well, worry not. XD And I will post pics once I decide.

Pfft. Well I looked at his design more and I think it's the first layer of his armor plate is melded together to the under layer of armor and the under part of the amor is attacked to something that's belted (probably) on his arm/shoulder... Something like that. Other than that: MAGIC. 
I hope Chrom gets into SSB4 so we can a closer look~~~

Oh really! I actually didn't know they had restrictions O: That's quite thoughtful of them haha. Ah yes, that could be a problem. Ever considered just Gaius's regular outfit? You should bring a stash of candy and occasionally give them off. People would love you haha!

And you could hooded and look super mysterious. I think the most fun part about the Avatar is drawing the Grima pattern on his/her hand

Yeah I can see what you mean. Lucina has A LOT of blue. 
I've seen one picture of someone that did Avatar and it was pretty cool! They had a spell book and everything.

You've actually seen a cosplay of an Avatar?! That's awesome! I have yet to come across one of them.

And yes, when in doubt, magic is how the entire FE universe works, from armor to clothing that stay on for absolutely no visible reason. ^^ SSB4 would be super special awesome with another FE character in it. ^^

That's very true, and candy makes the world go around. I did that for Amaimon when I cosplayed him a couple of years back - it was a ton of fun. I guess we'll see. If someone else is adamant about doing the Avatar, I might just end up doing Gaius.

For the hand design, I think I might make custom rub on tattoos for it. I know you can buy the paper for it, and ultimately I think it would stay on better than body paint. There's always trouble with that (unless you use non-toxic acrylic). I'll post pictures once I figure out what I'm doing. ^^

Same thing with the Grima battle. Couldn't Grima just turn over and drop everyone from his back? =_= 
Right! Though I'm afraid they are going to cut Ike for Chrom. That would be sad. 

That must have been fun! Then I'm guessing you have the hair all done for Gaius already? XD Haha, swimsuit Gaius! Though, that's a bit  harder for girls ^_^'
