Welcome to HARPG Rescue!


First I'd like to say thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue horse there are many many real life horses that need our help, in this way we can honor and spread word of their plights.

Second I would like to tell you that we live off of the feedback from our members so if there are every any questions comments concerns or ideas we'd love to hear them if you'd send us a note

And last but not least I'd like to introduce you to the horses that we currently have at HARPG Rescue that are waiting for a loving stable to take them home.

Big Lady oceanloregraphics.deviantart.c… a Perlino Tobiano American Warmblood/Paint mare
Big Lady was given to Wolf's Tail Stables to be retrained by her owner but was ill taken care of and taken away from said owner. She is greatly overweight, has a severely damaged hind left leg, and obviously needs hoof care.

She was rescued on a property with a large number of equines that were owned by a deceased equine enthusiast.

Evermore had been rescued from a PMU farm along with a couple other draft mares. What sets her aside is she was adopted from us, then left to rot. Now we have her back and will be a little more careful with who we intrust with her.

Darlin was owned by a man who knew nothing about horses. Tried to enter her and a stallion by the name of Dock and when they couldn't do as he wished (they were never trained) he beat them. They were found on death row at a humane society. Would prefer they go to a home together.

Tia is a bay overo quarter horse mare. She was rescued with other horses from a eventing and breeding farm with very questionable methods, she was brought to Happy Paddocks to await adoption, she had to be sedated to be trailered over due to her complete fear of humans. While still sedated after the journey she was vet checked.

Bucky is a bay shire/clydsdale mix mare. She was found on the side of the road in Ocala Florida. Her feathering, mane, tail matting so bad that they were all shaved. Malnourished with cracked hooves. She just needs some Tender Love and Care. (Also she was the very first horse we ever had in the rescue)

They were found in an slaughterhouse from the same PMU farm that Timberlae Hallow rescued a bunch of draft mares from.

This poor guy has been through a lot, not only had he gone through what the above colts have gone through but was ALSO adopted then left to rot by his adopted owner. We will be very careful when placing him.

Darwin harpg-rescue.deviantart.com/ar… Darwin is a liver chestnut thoroughbred.
Darwin's owner was found deceased. For how long, no one knew. It was at least a month. Darwin was found in one of the back pastures alongside the other stallion. He is slightly malnourished, is in need of a hoof-trim, and need LOTS of human socialization but is a super sweet stallion.

All horses here have their own problems so make sure to read carefully
