Yeah, it's been deactivated haha
I find the best way to network is to just talk to people. You never know who you're gonna run into! Get back in touch with some old friends (if you can find them/they didn't change their username) and go from there!

Yeah, i was not particularly confident in talking to random people when I had my last account. ;3

I didn't have many friends back then but yeah, I should try that!

Well, hey, you're talking to me

Indeed I am ^_^
I bit the bullet and figured that I have to just throw myself out into the deep end. I'm a painfully shy person usually. :3

Is the deep end all that bad?
I find I'm more brave in meeting people when I find something in common. Here, the commonality is art! You'd be surprised how often you can strike up a conversation with someone over a piece you both enjoy

No, not at all. It's a pain in the backside being nearly mid-twenties and still have trouble talking to people :3 But it's not so bad once you get going XD
Yeah I can understand that since conversation comes more naturally if you have a common thing to talk about.

I agree! I'm still a teenager and I find it hard sometimes, but I am trying to branch out.
The fun part of internet conversations, though, is running out of things to say about something. Tangents and digressions seem to happen then

Yeah all you can do is try XDĀ

That is true! Though I guess that depends on how willing the other party is to talk haha!Ā

And then you're awkwardly dancing in the corner
Actually, finding teens who are on the same wavelength is the hard part. I tend to be able to have better friendships with those who are older/more mature, because "like" every third word doesn't happen as often!

Willingness, yes, but also creativity plays into continuing conversations. Don't wanna beat a dead horse, so finding something new (my favorite is asking about favorite cupcake flavors) always helps

Haha!

Yeah I was always like that back then
Oh my sister is notorious for saying 'like' all the time!

Haha true, true!

I've finally beaten the "like" out of my brother. It only took two years.

Haha at least you managed!
I think my sister is a lost cause... O_o

Apparently most every teenager in my school (alll-girls) is a lost cause, so don't feel too bad about it!

FarronMarie In reply to ClockworkRewired [2015-03-19 10:41:26 +0000 UTC]

O_o I'm not entirely surprised. It's that age group I think
I don't feel bad - I just wish I could save her from it.
