Thank you very much!! I used to work a lot in black and white only, so I personally see my work as bright and colourful (in comparison to black and white), though I logically know it comes off as muted colours XD I just can't quite let the b+w go!

I see! Also, I probably should clarify that I certainly don't find your work anything like 'drab and dreary' AT ALL, just so we're clear. I did mean it as a compliment
It's just a certain mood that comes with your personal style, the colours you pick and the way you set most of your scenes. It's very, how to describe it, relaxing? Of course, there's a great range in all your works and you paint all sorts of stuff. But in general I'd say it gives me the feeling of winding down, low intensity. 'Time-for-introspection-and-I-can-almost-hear-the-slow-jazz-of-a-saxophone-playing-somewhere' kinda vibes. It's a good thing! And this is coming from someone who tends to oversaturate their work so I really appreciate works that manage to 'pop' without having to rely on shifting the contrast slider all the way to the right

I'm trying to learn to work with some bolder colours and half the time I'm like "NOPE DESATURATE IT!!"
I remember talking to a friend about how bright I thought my work was becoming (when I first started using a lot of colour) and she was like "haha... your work? bright?!!"
