Thank you for the Erik!

I came by because I saw your signature and it made me laugh
And now I have the song in my head. Thanks a lot!
Your gallery has a lot of potential, by the way. I really like the two recent ones - great job!! And your male nude is very VERY well done.

Heros in a halfshell, Turtle power!

-Well thanks, If it made you laugh, then my goal is complete!
-And you're welcome, I do too. Along with "GUMMI BEEEEAAAARS! BOUNCING HERE AND THERE AND EVERYWHERE..." you're welcome for that, too.
-Thanks again, hopefully it will be better when I actually start posting again, instead of finding old scraps I had done in random classes, and random photamagraphs.
-GOD, I LOVE BEING A TURTLE!

p.s.- Life is like a hurricane, here in Duckburg. Race Cars; Lasers; Aeroplanes; It's a duck-blur. Might solve a mystery... or rewrite history! Duck Tales! A-woo-oo!

so flippin sweet.
i had to bring my boyfriend over to the computer to read it... then hours later we were both still singing ducktales in our heads...
i used to love launchpad mcquack. he was great. and how scrooge could dive into those hard monies i will never know...
you know, shredder and the brain were smart guys. i always wondered why rocksteady and bebop were their primary helpers. you'd think they would have gotten rid of them long ago for all the mess-ups they had.
i remember the first Turtle movie, there was a scene when Donatello is waiting for the pizza under the grate, and Correy Feldman did his voice in that particular instance. I know way too much about that... anyway.
You may not have been a fan (I was, even if I was a little old for it I suppose) -
They're furry, they're funny
They're Babs and Buster Bunny
Montana Max has money
Elmyra is insane

There's Hamton and Plucky
Dizzy Devil's ducky
Furrball's unlucky
and Go-Go is insane

Wow, I wasn't even done yet. As for the Turtles, Shredder and Krang WERE the bomb. And they were smart to keep Bebop and Rocksteady around, if they got someone smarter, they would eventually be after their power! Shredder and Krang had enough looking behind their backs at each other, any more and they wouldn't be able to get those blasted turtles. That's right. I'm talking about leadership strategies for fictional characters.

Cobra Commander was great at it. He was trapped with some troops by a machine ship that was asking them to do slave labor. CC told one of his cronies to see what would happen in they said "no". After that troop was carried away to an abyss by robotic tentacles, CC Happily agreed.

Favorite Joe moment had to be in one of the Alt Dimension ones (I'm sure there were several) and in the Cobra base, they do a pan from a Gerbil on a platform surrounded by probes to Destro, sitting in a Giant throne 5 feet away overlooking it. I want that kind of time.

Okay, I'll shut up now...

If you like GI Joe, (and who doesn't) there are some HILARIOUS clips taken from the old shows with ridiculous voice-overs that are guaranteed to make you pee your pants a little.
I'll see if I can get them up on a website and I'll send you the link sometime.
And now you know.
And knowing is half the battle.

-TMBG Kid CD- No I did not. And now I know, and knowing IS half the battle.
-GI Joe PSA's yes. And they were quite the funny. I love the one where Barbeque comes in the kid's room like an alien and zaps the kids. And the One with Doc randomly reggae chatting with kids who are exploring their parents medicine cabinet.

I love the stop drop and roll one where the kid is going, quit it, ehhhh, stop it,,, elllhhhh...
ah.... I think I have to watch that again now. plus it will be a good excuse to distract myself from my boss screaming at some poor vendor just to make himself feel worthy because he's a worthless twat.

Flip-Monkey In reply to Alipants [2005-05-31 00:17:58 +0000 UTC]

Oh I do remember. And I was a fan. And now I have to correct you. Dizzy Devil was NOT ducky. Dizzy Devil was indeed YUCKY. It's okay, tho. I forgive. and furthermore...

At Acme Looniversity we earn our toon degree,
The teaching staff's been getting laughs since 1933!
We're tiny, we're toony, we're all a little looney,
It's Tiny Toons Adventures, come and join the fun!

... and now our song is done!

Also, I would like to add...

United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama Haiti, Jamaica, Peru,
Republic Dominican, Cuba, Carribean Greenland, El Salvador too.
Puerto Rico, Columbia, Venezuela Honduras, Guyana, and still,
Guatemala, Bolivia, then Argentina And Ecuador, Chile, Brazil.
(pauses for breath... yes, I'm singing at the same time... That's sad)

And in conclusion...

If there's something strange in your neighborhood
Who you gonna call?
Ghostbusters!
If there's something weird and it don't look good
Who you gonna call?
Ghostbusters!

I ain't afraid of no ghost.

Oh yeah. Bustin' makes me feel good.

You don't understand how much I love Duck Hunt. I have a PS2, City of Heroes, GBA and I still have my NES hooked up with SMB/Duck Hunt ready to play. I also get my 7 year old nephew to play it all the time, too. He also curses out the ducks as he shoots them, just like I ... used to.

My first curse words were learned listening to my dad play Duck Hunt, so I have very fond memories of it, like everyone else Glad you liked it!

(btw, LOVE the sig. I'm totally old school TMNTing right now)

Word. It's so wierd that Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince of Bel Air was the voice of Shredder on that show.

What a long and storied history the Shredder has... Wonder how the boys in green would react when they discover that Shredder isn't a slender Japanese man, but a large African-American man?

Flip-Monkey In reply to ubu [2004-08-02 19:05:01 +0000 UTC]

Well, I'm in my last quarter of the Sequential Art program. I'm taking Conceptual Illustration and Senior project, working on two completely different things. I'm also taking my last Art History class, which is tough, but I love writing essays so it's coming along good. After this September I move back to Florida and maybe get a job in my friends studio as the in-house digital colorist and also teaching night classes at the Art Center in downtown St. Petersburg. The real world, what fun! I'll let you know when I've been broken and crushed under the reality of climbing debt and student loan payments. Wheeee!

Thank you everybody for the warm welcome. I shall try and post more soon, as I get classes out of the way. Most stuff I'll post in the mean time will most likely be older stuff I did for school or fun. Or just random stupid crap. Then again, I'll prolly forget I even have this account and slip once again into the void. Well, I am off now to save my paper from the wretched clutches of Blankness. Up, up and away. Yes that last sentence should have had an exclamation mark, but I'm just not that excitable.
Later.
