Well I need to say that even you don't have tons of traditional arts you're pretty good, you need to do more

But I like your photography most, even that I'm not fan of the dark, macabre or horror , I must say that I like various of your photos, and I can't deny that you're hot and a sexy gaze

i havent been able to draw in quite awhile, been moving from place to place and all of my art material is in storage... i'll be settling down in about a week though finally and hopefully i'll find time to draw some more sometime soon!

do you like my anime, or my real life portraits more?

i find anime is more fun to draw, but it's so cliche and i like the results of my portraits better when all is said and done..

i wish anime wasn't such a freakishly popular and cliche thing. i don't even really like much , except for a handful of tv series. its just fun to draw and look at. *shrug* what can yah do haha

Believe me or not, I don't watch anime, or manga, I just like the style. Some time ago I was worried about my drawing don't looks like real Anime, but a friend told me: "You just need to make your own style , don't worry about the Anime stuff, you can use Anime style to mix it with your own".

And today I just focus on my own style, some people says that my style is a mis of Anime with Semi-realism , I don't know for sure , but I happy now with my work, I'm still need to practice even more, I need to improve my skills, but the most important thing is to pick the good aspects of the styles you like and then mix them with your own and natural style, good things happen when you do this

i agree with your friend!! your works seem like anime-inspired realism. like you're trying to be realistic but a little bit of anime snuck in there somewhere. i like it! sometimes anime is so stylized you lose sight of what the peice is really about!

i feel like the anime that i have drawn in the past is mostly an exercise in proportion and shading etc and the skills i learned from that help me in my more serious works, which are portraits. i just like heavily textured, dark and heavily shaded pictures.. i dont mind if its not completely realistic. im not one to spend 20 hours with a mechanical pencil getting every detail, i'd rather my portraits convey emotion.
same with my photography! i try to capture an emotion, or tell a story.. try to show with one image what i am feeling at the time, no matter what the picture is actually of. sometimes my physical subject matters have absolutely nothing to do with the concept i have in my mind. and it probably doesn't make any sense to anyone else besides myself. but that's okay. because art is meant to be interpreted by each person, and everyone who sees it will ask themselves questions.. and come to a different conclusion. don't you think??
