I'm not nearly as good as my guitarist, but he is infinitely patient :D (Big Grin) We do mostly punk, grunge and folky punk. We don't have any original songs...yet. But we are writing lyrics and playing around with the music.

im kinda sort of jealous. Ive been trying to get the hang of guitar or bass and my fingers are so uncoordinated.
do you guys do any songs with solos???

it takes awhile to get the hang of putting lyrics and instrumentals together..especially in a band..everyone wants to contribute a little

Solos, not so much. actually the writing process is pretty easy, on account of I got really sad this month, and when I felt better, realized I had a MOUNTAIN of lyrics :) (Smile)

My guitarist (who is also my best friend/roommate)goes through and puts music to them. He also writes, but we are pretty laid back. If someone wants to try something, we go with it. And I have no dexterity what so ever (took years to be able to get good enough to play with other people) so there is hope for anybody :D (Big Grin) I'm sure you could play circles around me once you learned!

well thats lucky..ive heard of so many cases where bands clash during the creation of lyrics and instrumentals...

Your band sounds like an awesome group to be in. i like the whole fact that you can try anything to see if it rocks..plus your guitarist seems pretty talented...all that creating and mixing sounds like a lot of work...sounds fun actually :P (Lick)
thats awesome you kept pursuing to play in a band...i can only imagine how long it would take me just to learn to play in general...its possible though..i know that for sure lol...i just need to find the patience

I basically have no patience, I just really love my guitarist. I push myself for him. Don't get me wrong, I have a passion for it, but having someone encouraging you, is really motivating :D (Big Grin)

im pretty much the same with you :P (Lick) with some things more than others...driving im pretty impatient...everything else, if i cant complete it then i push myself harder till i get to my goal. No pain no gain eh???
it always does help to have someone that can push you but that you can rely on. no slacking involved

hey- so I walk into work this morning and my boss is here.. and I'm like "uhhhh" and evidently I had agreed to switching schedule shifts with him? I know he had mentioned having to travel with our DM but i didn't realize he needed me to close.. SO- I hope I get this too you in time.. I won't be able to party @ 530..
