i know most of them also its interesting because i want Smithy as well i believe he could become one of the most interesting fighter ever but at the end its probably a pipe dream to have him before Geno and pretty sure if SMRPG gets another rep it will end up being an echo either Boshi or Booster the best thing that could have been done to Smithy is making him a boss

With Geno a Spirit in Smash Ultimate, he's ruled out this time around.Β We don't know of the future of Smash, but I for one know that Masahiro Sakurai is aware that the fans will never be satisfied.Β I know not what this changes, but were it me, I would stop making Smash games.

i dont think a PNG image does rule him out, its equal to trophys and stickers in smash
the fact that the Geno and Chocobo mii costume still havent shown alongside the Enix contents might mean something big could come, what have been shown during the recent presentation was all Enix content and none from Squaresoft i wont give up my hopes yet especially with the whole nintendo thing taking down 2 SMRPG songs from youtube. plus the the fact each square-enix character has 2 songs from their game FF,DQ3,DQ4,DQ8 and DQ11

Those aren't usable Spirits.Β They're Fighter Spirits.Β Geno as a Spirit DOES rule him out of being playable in Smash Ultimate, and if you don't come to terms with that, you're only hurting yourself even more.

nah Geno could get a fighter spirit the one from MLSSS sprite or just his regular SMRPG sprite and not his SMRPG render since that would be seperate, after all there are fighters that got different types of spirits even though they are already a fighters such as captian k rool

Chrom was highly requested and Smash Ultimate's number one goal was bringing every fighter back.Β In all likelihood, the developers might not have had the TIME and ENERGY to do that.Β And you know what?Β You've been living under a rock because before Mewtwo and Lucas were trophies in Smash 4, they were fighters before that!Β VETERAN fighters!Β Do you hear me?Β Did you get that completely in your thick ears?Β Or do you have twigs in there and you're singing "Lalala, I don't care, I just want my Geno".Β And even so, the Fighter Spirits play the roles of Trophies, not Spirits.Β Spirits are like stickers.Β Geno was never a fighter, so we're not gonna go through this crap of an excuse about Trophies becoming fighters.Β You're never gonna see a sticker of a character able to be equipped to itself as a fighter.Β And if it did happen in Smash Ultimate, I can assure you that there would be an outcry.Β People would be like "Oh, so Geno gets special treatment, but not Shantae, Shovel Knight, Waluigi, or Bomberman?Β Fuck you, Sakurai!"Β Trust me, among the two remaining DLC fighters, they're not gonna be characters that are already Spirits.Β Also, the Challenger Packs have entirely new content, so they're not gonna add on to the Super Mario RPG representation that we already have.Β Deal with it.

but with more DLC characters announced coming after theΒ Challenger Pack i see the chances of Geno are increasing also it doesnt matter if people would outcry just enjoy the game also it wasnt officially confirmed that DLCs will only be about franchises that have never been in smash before especially with the fact that more DLC fighters are coming after the 5th DLC pack lmao
also the thing about Chrom its not about being requested he had more than one role in the game but i think you ignored that point
also about mewtwo and lucas no one ever said that them being a veteran is the reason why they get to be playable during DLC when they already had trophies also i need to let you know something Sakurai actually had no plans for DLC during the development of smash 4 and there is an article about it, so bascially both mewtwo and lucas were deceonfirmed alongside everything else that wasnt a fighter until it was announced that there are going to be DLC's for the game

during the smash 4 development Lucas and Mewtwo werent going to be fighters and no DLC was going to be made this is why they had trophies in the first place

Thats the point! once the sakurai announced more fighter after the 5th pack the chances it had opened the door for many more characters to come and that does count spirits as well
just like how the trophys became playable after the DLC had been decided after the game has already released

Don't do this to yourself, I'm begging you.Β Smash 4 didn't initially plan any DLC and didn't even consider it until after the games were released.Β Therefore, DLC planning didn't begin until then, whereas Smash Ultimate had it planned during development.Β I'm telling you, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment if you think characters already in the game as Assist Trophies, new Mii Fighter costumes, and Spirits, are becoming fighters later down the line.
