Btw I hope you don't mind me asking, I'm intrigued as to how do you pronounce the letter ø, like does it make the word sound higher or lower? Sorry I sound really ignorant, i'm just interested, I know Norway uses the ø too.

Well, it's a bit difficult to explain, because the pronounciation changes a tiny bit depending on the word.
For instance, the Danish word for "onion" is "løg", and it's pronounced a bit round, since you flatten your tongue a bit. But if you say the word for "island", which is just "ø", it's a bit more direct and flat compared to the more round sounds (if that makes any sense?)
Words like "løg" and "øl" (beer) has the same word sound.
It's really difficult to explain if you don't have it as a native language and most countries don't really have that form of soft letters. You have to hear it to understand it a bit better, I think ^^"
But basically, this is also the main reason why we enjoy torturing tourists as we try to make them say the sentence "rødgrød med fløde" XD
