I think you should give it a try, the key is to just find something you love to take photoso off and just take loads.... i take over 400-500 each time i go out and i get about 1-10 decent ones. I personnaly love to photography outdoors and animals but maybe you would prefer urban landscapes or people. Might be worth a try, otherwise it might not be your 'thing'

When I joined DA in 2007 I decided to submit drawings , but , last year I started like take photographs ;; and I had the opportunity of travel to one of the seven wonders of the world, Machu Picchu , and that day I've decided to submit photographs Althought my camera doesn't help with , I did that , I've submited some photographs in my gallery ^-^ but have a gallery for photographs its a great idea ;; I wanna try it too but sometimes I don't feel good because of my camera >: ; everyones have nikonD40 or whatever and I just work with an old kodak , but you don't need an awesome camera for express what do you feel .

Aww wow seems like you've had a good journey I wouldn't feel let down by your camera though! Maybe save up for a better one or keep at it with your old camera and see what people say about them on DA, I was surprised about the feedback that i got from my old photos.
