Hows your school classes been? im not sure if youre still in grade school or in college by now

my classes have been pretty good! i still have good grades, even though i've been kinda swamped in homework this month (yesterday was especially stressful because we had a really long orchestra concert last night haha). there's only a week more until winter break though! (and yeah, i'm still in highschool!)

my classes this year were mostly general ed stuff. Political science, US history, earth science, but then i have animation class ! which was more challenging but fun.

thank you! i try my best to balance everything and it seems to be working rn. oh and i'm not planning on going anywhere over break, but i will see a bunch of relatives for christmas and one of my friends mentioned having me over to watch star trek and make hot chocolate in a couple weeks!

Star Trek and hot choco sounds real chill~ Have you previously watched any star trek stuff? ive never seen any of it at all but it seems pretty popular.
We learnt how to do Animated collage gifs, storyboards, 2d animation, 3d animation, and a bit of character design. So overall, pretty good for an introductory course for animation
Hoping to try and use what i learned to make a few animations over my break~

relatable xD many times I've tried to make plans with friends like "yo we gotta hang out sometime this break" and they'd be like "heck yeah!!!" but it rarely ever happens :'D hahah. not that I'mΒ complaining, my socially anxious butt is happy staying home~

i am SUPER late replying but i'm glad your classes are going well, and i hope they still are rn! also i like your new username, it's very original!
somehow i have all A's right now?? miraculously?? i'm also tutoring students in physics, helping run a children's art class at my internship, and i had an orchestra concert a week ago that was good. so in terms of academics and stuff, i've been doing well lately!
also! thanksgiving break just started for us so i finally can sleep in and go online again. hopefully that means i'll actually be on dA, if only for this week.

Wowow you go girl! You'reΒ totally kicking school's ass with them A's right now. For some reason, my college only has Nov 22-25 off for spring break. So four days off. and TWO of those are Saturday and Sunday. And I don'tΒ even have classes on Fridays-Sundays. So really I only just get Thursday off from school this Thanksgiving, rip. LOL.

DA DIDNT GIVE ME THIS NOTIF AAAAA anyway it's been alright tbh! i have 4 ap classes in a row first thing in the morning which kinda sucks, but i do have a study hall this semester (next semester i'll have art) so i can do homework early. i'm also all set to be in 3 honor societies and help the homecoming decorations and float building, which will be super fun. so yeah, i'm tired all the time again because of school, but at least i'm having a nice time (and actually have some classes with friends this year, thank god)

omg 4 ap classes ;v;i've never taken ap classes before haha, which prob explains why i am taking longer to finish my college stuff. since i believe ap classes can count as college classes, and therefore you dont have to take those classes again in college. if im remembering right. correct me if im wrong :>
cool it's really nice having classes with friends! really takes out the stress that comes with having new classes. i hope i get that lucky in the future xD i dont often get friends in the same classes.
thats nice to hear~ if i were to take a vacation, id prob wanna go to japan. not only because of the usual weeby reasons :3 but in japan people are generally much more polite and pleasant to speak to. plus they've got bomb-ass food :3Β

but yeah, i'm pretty sure most colleges accept ap classes in some way if you get a high enough score on the ap test (it varies from place to place. like one college i visited this summer only accepts ap classes for elective courses or gen ed or something)
tbh it's just a relief to have a handful of classes to look forward to talking to people this year! last year was horribly isolating. i hope that sometime you get classes with your friends, orbat least make some new ones c:

I only know random words in Japanese. So stringing together a sentence would be pretty difficult. Surprisingly though, tourists get by pretty well even if they don't speak the language in Japan! So I think I will survive :3

oh that's nice! It's always handy when you don't need to learn an entire language to travel somewhere. That's why if I ever traveled somewhere on my own, it would either be a place where English is also spoken or where I could get by with some okay-ish Spanish. Ooh I've got animation class, so far I've made a gif about a haunted house & a guy running away from ghost clowns LOL. I had complete freedom to make up the storyline which was fun xDD
And now we are working on storyboarding and character design. Which I LOVEEEE. I love character design!!! I was never really adequately educated on it in the past so my oc designs are nooby af :33 but I am hoping to improve and make some kickass character designs someday!

I don't have a specific city in JapanΒ I want to visit, so I would most likely do what all tourists do and visit Tokyo first! The most popular and busy city in Japan. Since its gotta be so popular for a reason, i'm sure. I think they have a Pokemon Center shop in Tokyo. I would totally check that out if so.
