Hey man I was working on the namesake anthology and was wondering if you want a pdf of this to see what I do outside of being an admin.

Okay. It might be a heartbeat before I can read it though, as I have tons of rehearsal to do in the next week for MacBeth. Plus I'm also doing a Spring semester class, and have to study for a quiz come Monday. Then I have all the stuff I keep wanting to do, but have been putting off. I'm sure you know how it goes.

Happy One Year to me! One year since joining DA, hard to believe. Given that it's April 1st and all.

No Prob, but it is I who should (and have) thanked you for all your brush contributions. Not to say that I don't enjoy your fantasy art either. Very nice, keep up the good work. [Insert generic compliment here]

Hmm, interesting thing with your brush sets getting stolen. I thanked you (and many others) in my first journal entry here at DA for putting up brushes to use. I understand why your mad, but perhaps you shouldn't be. After all, anything you put on the net becomes a target for theft and piracy. If your going to get offended and upset by it, why put it up to begin with?
The answer is simple, you wanted to help people. Well there is a cost for that, unfortunately. So the question you really need to ask yourself is, do I pull my brushes, art, and other works from the internet? Or do I shrug off the attack, and continue to support the people I know are benefiting the most from my hard work and efforts?
Sure, there are other things you could do. Like increasing security, tagging everything with a copyright, etc. But in the end, a smart determined criminal is still going to win that kind of battle. You could also try suing. Did you fill out a copyright form and pay the $45 fee to make it legal? If not you can visit here if your a US resident or preparing to file-suit in the US. [link]
But lets face it, nobody wins this situation. Good luck with whatever you come up with.

-Grey

That analogy is a bit off, because technically nothing is missing. If they stole something from your house, you would notice it. Maybe if your analogy included the thieves taking your TV and replacing it with an exact carbon copy. That would be interesting, but even so you would still have a TV, eh?
Its kind of like the ostrich syndrome. "If you don't see it, it didn't happen." You would still be happy in your safe secure world if you never found out. You wouldn't change your routine, or be upset over it. I'm just saying, I think you're looking at this the wrong way. Perhaps the best way to look at it is, "Hey! Somebody pirated my work, I must be good at what I do for people to want to take it so underhandly." I know this is a bit wrong for your case though. From what I gather, they took it to 'sell' and make a profit off of perhaps?
Best of luck with the Russian courts, try and stay positive.

-Grey

You're right, the analogy is a bit off but some days after work I'm just too tired to think that hard
I am looking at it the wrong way and that's mostly gut reaction. On sober reflection, if it's the worst problem I have then life is good.
There's that little petty part of me that finds the whole thing irritating, stamps it's feet and wants revenge. I usually don't pay it much mind though
As for staying positive, I tend to be 95% positive with 5% negative moments thrown in for balance
Thanks again for the support!
