Sorry for the late reply. My computer has been giving me problems.

It's pretty good. When the teachers tell you that college will be a lot harder on you, don't listen to them. I've been real chill about it, and I'm doing fine. Of course, that may have something to do with the professors themselves. It all depends on who you get basically. Still, when a teacher makes college out to be like one of the nine circles of hell, but in reality it's not nearly as bad as their class (which is high school) is, something's gotta be wrong there.

I know that feel. Before I got my laptop after I graduated, my little sister would hog the computer all day when I had to work on a paper. Funny thing is that all she'd do is get on youtube and listen to music which she already had an ipod for.

I dunno. Do you prefer to draw people, animals, objects, or something else? Maybe if you decide what sort of thing you want to draw, it'll be easier to pick out something specific to draw. lol

I have been wanting to draw my characters from my fairy tail (i'm sure you've heard of that anime) fan fiction. maybe i should start with that. my only problem is that i'm not good at drawing people from an angle. then again, i do tend to be pessimistic about my skills at times.

You could try finding some pics of random anime characters facing the angles you want to use for a reference. That's what I usually do if I can't figure out how something should look; like I was drawing a pic of the Iron Giant holding the TARDIS and couldn't figure out what I should do with his fingers, so I held something the way I wanted to show him holding it, and took a pic of my hand so I could use it to figure out the pose. lol

Also, when you upload something, you might want to find a group related to it (like if you do fanart of that anime and find a group for fanart of the show) and submit it to the group. It helps you get a lot more views. lol Also, you said you write fanfiction? You can submit that on DeviantArt too, if you want, though I just use FFN instead. lol

i've only written two. one was just something i came up with and posted it on GT to test writing skills. wasn't really a fan fic. the other is a fan fic of fairy tail, but i haven't finished it yet. i still gotta finish the story and work out a few kinks that i don't like. i'm like that writer who wrote the inheritence cycle (i'm sure you've heard of it), it takes me a while to write a story that i fell is perfect. i was thinking of posting either one on fanfiction.com, but new uploads can easily get lost there. it's not like most sites who have a front page show casing the newest stuff.

All I know is that FFN shows whatever fanfics have been most recently uploaded or added to (since you can add chapters after uploading if you don't want to wait until you're done), but that's only within the categories themselves. So if you just go to the website, you won't see anything, but if you select a TV show or anime or something you want to read fic's of, the newest or most recently updated show up first.

And that reminds me, I never did finish the Inheritance Cycle, but now I have so many books on my "Need to Read" list. Gah!! lol

i have yet to read the inheritance cycle to be honest. i do plan on getting into the series once i'm done with LotR and the hobbit. the author did finally release the final book in the series recently. funny, i remember when the first book came out when i was in grade school.

I read Eragon but hardly remember anything that happened in it, and I only started the second book.

I have read the Hobbit, but I don't remember much from that either because I was in like 7th grade when I read it, lol. But I'll probably go see the movie because the guy that plays John Watson in Sherlock is playing Bilbo Baggins. Maybe that'll help me remember stuff. XD

there's gonna be two hobbit movies. they're splitting it in half to cover more. kinda like how they did that with harry potter and the deathly hallows.

Well you can submit fanfics here, if you don't want to use FFN or if you just want to post to two separate places, but you just upload the file like any other art and when you select a category, there should be something that says "Literature," then from there should be a sub-category of "Fanfiction". Or something. lol

And yeah, I heard about them splitting it into two. This combined with the Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises coming out this year means I'm going to have to beg people to take me to a lot of movies. lol
