My son, who is also a budding artist, asked me to teach him how to paint with oils. I immediately showed him your work, and Lucien Freud's (and Klimt for the sake of comparison). I was trying to show him your approach, particularly your use of color and the way you use planes. I really respect your sensibility and I feel that your work stands up right beside Mr. Freud's.

I've never seen any artist breathe such life into shades of white. Everything is so much more tactile than any photograph could ever display. It's as if you've taken life as we see it, and made it that much more of a sensory experience. Bravo.
