Ok I know that to add size and build muscle you need to eat like crazy and get lots of protein but my question is, during this process how do you get more defined abs?. and is it True that I will put on size faster if I lift heavy weight for 3-4 sets and 6-8 reps?

wot works for me, not saying it will work for u, is to eat like crazy throughout winter, training everything equally! keep ur diet healthy, but eat a lot of lean meats and replace ur protein shake with a weight gainer. Just before the start of summer, lose that diet and start cutting back. Burn more calories in a day then you eat, train hard still with an increase in CV. U wont put on dramatic weight but ur muscles will still develop strength and tone with the correct post-workout nutrition. Rep ranges are misleading, for strength u want to train 2-8 reps, for hypertrophy (wot u want to put on size) train 8-12 reps, for endurance its 12+ really. What i do is on each exercise do 2 sets of as heavy as i can for strength, 3 sets of around 10-12 reps then a final set of around 20 reps, gets a bit of everything that way. 6 sets in total for the main exercises, usually 2 per workout.
