Thank you so much for the faves!

If I remember correctly I think I might have met you at one of the Monarchs games.. I believe it was late April beginning of May.

Maybe? People come up to me a lot, haha, so I can't really rememberI didn't get to as many monarchs games this year as I usually do seeing I was hitting up other teams games. I like your pics though I have to get more of mine up here as I haven't updated in forever.

Yeah that's fine, It was just a quick hello, i think it was jersey night if I'm not mistaken, but that's fine! I met so many people this year too it's hard to keep them all straight now!
But thanks for all the faves once more, thankfully, I actually have a dslr to take to the games so next year I'll have some clearer shots.
Can't want to see the new shots you put up! They have such great composition to them!

HeyGreenEyes In reply to SnyderSportsPhoto [2010-06-30 20:57:23 +0000 UTC]

It's def hard to keep them all straight when you meet a bunch of people
Sure thing Nice! I have a DSLR and love it (Though I hope to upgrade it as it's only a 6mp). I'll try to get some shots up this weekend I take soooooooooooo many pics

I'm just bouncing off the walls trying to get into some sort of sports game just to test the camera out. I know it'll do more then what need it to do, I mean a 7D is a professional grade camera, a lot better from my little powershot I had used last season. Working towards my lenses right now and hopefully a job or two doing sports photography.
Can't wait to see!

HeyGreenEyes In reply to SnyderSportsPhoto [2010-07-05 20:12:55 +0000 UTC]

Well theres always baseball games to practice at
Good luck finding a sports job I dream of having one again when i am better
I'm cleaning up some pics now, not sure when I will get them up but I'm working on it

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnyderSportsPhoto In reply to HeyGreenEyes [2010-07-07 18:39:06 +0000 UTC]

Exactly, hopefully I'll be heading back to Manchester for some baseball before that ends. But who knows, it sucks not having a license!

Just going to have to work extra hard to impress them because of the age. But having a camera around arenas and the field seems to draw a lot of people over to introduce themselves. Maybe one of the people I meet now can help me out a bit later.

hehe I know what ya mean, I'm 28 and don't have one Makes it hard getting around.

Yea, us photographer types seem to stick together, it's def how I met most of the people I am friends with up there in NH I live in CT, so I didn't know anyone up there but over the years I have made some good friends in manchester

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnyderSportsPhoto In reply to HeyGreenEyes [2010-07-08 14:00:55 +0000 UTC]

Very true, I met a handful of professional sports photographers the past season. Then again, I do sit right next to were they all shoot from so that gave me the upper hand. Plus school gave me a chance to actually job shadow with Babs one day at a game which was pretty great.
Yeah, I go to games now and I'm getting stopped by people to say hi and what not. I mean even now that the season is done, I still have people that come up to me and start talking to me! But It's nice to know people everywhere!

I am friends with one of the photographers who shoots from the bench She's been giving me tips and stuff, so that rocks
Yea, I have done some travelling for AHL games and it's pretty awesome that I know have hockey friends all over the country Very cool

SnyderSportsPhoto In reply to HeyGreenEyes [2010-07-08 17:54:55 +0000 UTC]

Oh yes, Tracy from WhiteRavnCreations on here. I know who she is, I met her while I was interning at the arena. It's always great having someone at the arena you know while you are shooting so you can get a few tips in between periods.
Oh that's awesome! Hopefully I can do that someday! I'd love to travel for a team.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HeyGreenEyes In reply to SnyderSportsPhoto [2010-07-08 18:11:49 +0000 UTC]

Haha yup Tracy We are great friends She rocks
Haha well, I didn't travel "for" the team. Just went to games all over, on my own accord I would love to work for a team though (I used to work for a baseball team), but probably not as a photographer, I wanna design merch

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnyderSportsPhoto In reply to HeyGreenEyes [2010-07-08 18:16:56 +0000 UTC]

Well you traveled to the games and that's what counts! I wish I could do that! School kind of makes that hard, along with the lack of people willing to drive and pay for a ticket.
I've seen the bags you design! They are amazing so creative and great! I could definitely understand why you want to do merch design!
The dslr bag you have up I've been begging my dad to buy it for me!

Just means you gotta find a way to make the money for yourself Seeing I am out of school that helps When I was able to work I def used that money to go to sports stuff
Thanks! Aww
You'd probably actually like my sports designs then, I don't post them here just because I try to use this more for my photos, but if you want you can see some of my designs here:

exactly, I was a bit late this year finding a summer job, so I've go a huge list of work around the house to do. But it's a start, with the camera maybe I'll get a few offers from my school to do the photography, and I've got portraits to do also so it's not a horrible side job right now.
Okay, so I spent the last hour looking over the things you put up there! It's amazing! really great ideas! left me wondering How much for something like these?

I'd love to get one.

Well actually I am on the disabled list right now I had surgery on my neck fri so I can't do much right now:/ I do usually do around $50 for a hoodie unless it's super difficult I'm hoping to be back to painting in a few weeks though. Maybe if you want to think up some ideas you'd like when I'm feeling better maybe I could work on something for you
I was in a car accident 2 years ago on my birthday so it has put a big dent in my art and career.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnyderSportsPhoto In reply to HeyGreenEyes [2010-07-08 21:11:07 +0000 UTC]

aww, I'm sorry to hear that, hope to hear you're recovering well though.
Okay, I'm making sure I've got the money set aside, I'm thinking it would be either (or both, depends on how much i save!)
I'd be looking for pretty much the same designs as they are on the originals. Just a name and number change would be the only difference. I'm going to make sure I'll have enough to buy them, but let me know when you can get back into your painting once again and maybe we can set something up!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HeyGreenEyes In reply to SnyderSportsPhoto [2010-07-08 21:18:06 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. I have an ugly bandage over a hole in my neck right now, so really can't tell if the surgery fixed anything yet, but hopefully once the bandage comes off we can see if I am getting better.
Sounds good. I can def make something completely custom also, I like making it so people don't have the same hoodie as anyone else So I will def let you know as soon as I able to paint again so that way I can get them done before hockey season

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnyderSportsPhoto In reply to HeyGreenEyes [2010-07-08 21:42:23 +0000 UTC]

aww, well I'm hoping for the best for you! Hopefully you'll be good to go now that you've got the surgery!
Oh yeah I'm loving the thing no one else has idea too! I'll think about some ideas to get to you later on, I've got a few floating around now, but I'll put them on paper.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HeyGreenEyes In reply to SnyderSportsPhoto [2010-07-08 21:51:19 +0000 UTC]

Thanks This is actually my 2nd surgery for it, but lets hope they got the right thing out this time and the pain goes away
Yea, I feel like if I am gonna paint something I don't want to paint it twice, plus what fun is a custom painted shirt if someone else already has it I can def work up some ideas when I'm better based on which ever players you like

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnyderSportsPhoto In reply to HeyGreenEyes [2010-07-09 00:06:08 +0000 UTC]

yeah, I know how doctors are with things like that. You would think they could get it right the first try.
sounds good! I'll think of some things to tryout!
I'm totally a person that loves to have something really different, I'm thinking if I end up getting two, I'll do one with my name and numbers on it. The other with Oscar on it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HeyGreenEyes In reply to SnyderSportsPhoto [2010-07-09 00:12:17 +0000 UTC]

Yea doctors and lawyers are pretty much my least fave people
Cool Yea, that's why I make my own stuff, cause they never have anything I want when I go to buy stuff I'd much prefer something I can make personalized to me
Cool I can do whatever Oscar Moeller?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnyderSportsPhoto In reply to HeyGreenEyes [2010-07-09 00:56:25 +0000 UTC]

yeah I know what you mean there.. I've dealt with my fair share of each. Not fun not fun.
exactly, it' all this random junk just scribbled over clothes, I've been settling with just plain shirts now to get around the junk. But its so plain..
Yeah Oscar Moller, I've got to say I'm more for the Swedes now then the lovely Russians. But I've gotta love both!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HeyGreenEyes In reply to SnyderSportsPhoto [2010-07-09 01:04:26 +0000 UTC]

For sure
Yea exactly. It just doesn't express anything, to boring for my taste I don't even shop for shirts with things on them anymore, There's nothing I like in stores.
Cool, can do I'm a sucker for Russian guys, big time! The ones on the monarchs are to young for me, though they don't need to know that I'm half russian so I guess it's just bred in to me I did think ersberg was adorable though, and he's swedish

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnyderSportsPhoto In reply to HeyGreenEyes [2010-07-09 01:26:09 +0000 UTC]

yeah, I've found like three stores to buy just plain shirts, thankfully it's like 5 for two shirts so It helps on the low budget end of things!
Slava and Lokti, ah yes, they are just a tad too old, three years is just a bit too old for me! but Ersberg was very cute!
I'm jealous of your Russian-ness, I've been teaching myself a few Russian words here and there. It's quite fun to speak.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HeyGreenEyes In reply to SnyderSportsPhoto [2010-07-09 01:34:13 +0000 UTC]

I def clearance shop Me and the clearance track jackets are like bffs I am poor so Yea, the cheaper the better!
Hehe, well Slava is 9 years younger then me, shhhh, don't tell him Haha don't tell Loki either Haha! Yea, Ersberg was def cute
Hehe, I am def proud to be half russian I have been trying to teach myself russian for a few years now with no real luck. My russian friend def made fun of me seeing I haven't learned much. I can just blame the meds I have been on for my neck though, someday I will understand it and be able to speak it, I'm determined! I plan to go to russia as soon as I find a way

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnyderSportsPhoto In reply to HeyGreenEyes [2010-07-09 01:48:07 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah, me and clearance are great friends! I'll only buy it if it's on clearance, if it's not I don't even look at it because I know I can't buy it! Yeah same boat here, the cheaper is always the better!
You're secret is safe with me! Oh the Russian boys are funny, they will act like they have no clue how to speak English, but if anyone that is important that works at the arena walks by them they sure can speak some good English then! Slava was actually teaching Andrei English during the season.
Yeah, it's hard to learn, I'll admit that, and I'm not the best with learning new things anyways. But I have learned three words I found very important if I do get to talk to any of the Russian boys, Hello, I love you, and good-bye! I figured I was all set with that right there!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HeyGreenEyes In reply to SnyderSportsPhoto [2010-07-09 01:57:05 +0000 UTC]

Same here, I don't look at anything full priced
Haha Yea, Slava's english def improved since last season. I think once Dravecky left he was on his own and had to learn quicker so he could talk to people. The first time I met him I said thank you and russian and he gave me a shocked look I told him I was learning and he told me he was learning english But he def improved this season and could say more. It def is a hard language, I am trying to learn to not only speak it but to read it and write it, so just adds to the complications Someday though, someday. It'd def help if I wasn't so easily distracted

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnyderSportsPhoto In reply to HeyGreenEyes [2010-07-09 14:56:43 +0000 UTC]

oh yeah, Dravecky leaving was a huge impact of Slava, it showed in his game too. but I'm glad he's getting back to normal, and It's good to see that Andrei is now getting more into the game and making more plays. I think I read that the woman he was renting an apartment with knew Russian and she was teaching him English along with him going to classes, so he picked it up really well. Yeah I wan to be able to read and write and speak Russian too, but it's a challenge. Hey at least I can prove to myself that I can actually learn another language on my own. Oh yeah the procrastination and being distracted a lot isn't a big help for me either.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HeyGreenEyes In reply to SnyderSportsPhoto [2010-07-09 20:40:04 +0000 UTC]

Yea I am sure. Yea Slava's gf spoke english, so I def am sure that helped. I know that if I had someone who spoke russian to me it would def help with my understanding and all. I think that I am trying to learn without any one pushing me and no set schedule to practice just makes me put it off and not work to learn like I should.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnyderSportsPhoto In reply to HeyGreenEyes [2010-07-09 21:00:56 +0000 UTC]

Andrei's girlfriend has a very small English Vocabulary. The security was having the worst time trying to communicate with her because she didn't understand she had to show her pass to get in, and then didn't understand what they were asking for when they tried to have her get find her pass. I've seen her around the bottom of the arena a few times, she's very pretty, as skinny as a toothpick but very pretty! Yeah the deadline and encouragement is lacking with me right about now. What I had been doing was Putting a new work up every week with the Russian writing, English translation, and the the pronunciation next to it and I'd say it a few times in the morning, after school, and before I went to bed. I learned quite a few words doing that. But then I slacked off getting new words and practising so it went down hill.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HeyGreenEyes In reply to SnyderSportsPhoto [2010-07-09 21:21:04 +0000 UTC]

She probably came over with him from russia, so is probably learning along with him. Must be so hard being that young and being thrown in to a whole new world where no one understands you.
Yea, I was real motivated but my problem is concentration, I can't multi task while learning russian, so my mind can't stay focused on it when I know there are 10 other things I need to be doing. If there was a way I could learn and paint at the same time I'd def be working harder cause it would settle my mind.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnyderSportsPhoto In reply to HeyGreenEyes [2010-07-09 22:00:36 +0000 UTC]

Yeah she did, she's so nice, always smiles at everyone. And she is so worried about Andrei getting hurt again. They jut look so.. happy together, like finally someone that understands them. It's cute.
Yeah I know what you mean, staying on task while knowing there is plenty other things you should be going is hard. To put Painting and Russian together, try learning the colours. Put new labels over the ones that you have that are in Russian, with the English and pronunciation on there. That might help a bit.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HeyGreenEyes In reply to SnyderSportsPhoto [2010-07-09 22:51:32 +0000 UTC]

Aww. I want a boy like that someday, haha!
Yea, I am always doing at least 3 things at once, which really doesn't work when trying to learn something I know the colors I've made a thing or 2 that has russian lettering in it as practice. Just gotta keep finding ways to incorporate it

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnyderSportsPhoto In reply to HeyGreenEyes [2010-07-10 02:23:27 +0000 UTC]

I know same thing here. She's so lucky!
oh a step ahead of me! yeah, I would really love to get myself motivated to finally be able to at least speak it, then learn how to write Russian later if it works out easier that way. If I even end up getting my laptop, I'd look into some kind of software to use just to keep me on top of things.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HeyGreenEyes In reply to SnyderSportsPhoto [2010-07-10 02:55:32 +0000 UTC]

As is he
Yea I have a couple programs on my computer, it's just that time thing and focus But I totally get excited when I am watching something with russian in it and I understand a word they say
