Ik heb enkel Mind of the Raven van Bernd Heinrich. Een fantastisch en inspirerend boek. :) (Smile) Ik ben zeker van plan om Ravens in Winter ook eens aan te schaffen. Aangezien je ze zo goed vindt zou je misschien ook eens naar In The Company of Crows and Ravens van John Marzluff/Tony Angell moeten kijken. Een aanrader.

Dank je ;-) (Wink) die heb ik ook....ik heb een boekenplank vol hahahaha...lol. Allemaal Kraaien en Raven en Kauwen. Machtig mooi man. EN zelfs een over Roeken. Mooie tekeningen in dat boek van Marzluff!

Oh kijk aan :) (Smile) als je verder nog boeken aanraadt hoor ik het graag!
En inderdaad die illustraties van Tony Angell zijn zeer treffend.

Er zijn ook wat documentaires (vnl. over onderzoek naar Amerikaanse Kraaien) waarin Marzluff aan het woord komt en zijn onderzoeken belicht worden. Ik neem al bijna aan dat je die al gezien hebt, maar mocht dat niet zo zijn dan moet je ze maar 'ns opzoeken! :P (Lick)

Of ik nog boeken kan aanraden? Heb je even? Ik heb er een mooi aantal. Hier een selectie:

"Crow Country" van Mark Cocker (Roeken)

"Kraaienbende" van Geert-jan Roebers en Stefan Halewijn

"The language of Crows" van Michael Westerfield (www.crows.net/index.html)

"Kauwen in de spiegel" en "De Kauwentuin" beide van Achilles Cools (www.achillescools.be/introduct…

"Caw of the wild" van Barb Kirpluk

Er zijn er nog meer als je wil, ik heb bv. ook een aantal boeken met Kraaien of Raven in de hoofdrol, "Raven's End" van Ben Gadd is daar een mooi voorbeeld van.

Hartelijk dank! Ik zal deze titels eens even onder de loep nemen.

Wat betreft boeken met kraaien of raven in de hoofdrol, ik denk dat ik dat waarschijnlijk wel leuke boeken zal vinden, maar ik ben toch meer op zoek naar non-fictie.. ben bang dat ik anders aan de meeste boeken niet toekom. :P (Lick)

Dat boek en de kunst van Achilles Cools lijken zeker interessant, een man met een echte passie voor kauwen dus. Leuk hoe hij de sociale leefwijze van kauwen onderschrijft, en vergelijkingen maakt met de manier waarop wij mensen leven.

Nogmaals bedankt voor deze lijst titels! Dat houdt me weer even van de straat. ;) (Wink)

Hahaha! It was great, a trip through Scandinavia, which was also the first time that I've ever been to Norway. Beautiful nature and a very relaxed athmosphere. Have you managed to have some free time this summer?

Thats one busy life youre leading, heh. Sometimes I'm glad I'm still a student. For winter holidays Im having my GF stay over and probably a lot of family and friends gatherings, so it's promising to be a good time. I'm hoping we'll have some snow, too, actually do you ever have snow in Texas there?

Oh yes! Mainly in North Texas, but it does snow sometimes well into April, but it never sticks because the ground is too hot. We just had a winter storm over here, well I think technically two, Austin had 274 car crashes in one day because no one can drive when it sprinkles/rains/snows/ices...they think they can keep speeding everywhere. :/ How's the weather there?

Oh wow, I see! I'm hearing other parts of the US have huge amounts of snow too.

Well here.. winter isn't really taking off at all. The last few winters we've had quite nice amounts of snow but this year nothing yet. :/
Kinda bums me out, I love hiking in the snow. Oh well, it can still happen in later February and March, so who knows. :) (Smile)
