I didn't go to prom either. I thought it was a big waste of money, not to mention I honestly didn't like my graduating class. (More like disliked the majority in the school...)

I sell mostly vintage jewelry, but sometimes other antique/vintage goodies pop up.

I like quite a bit of people here, but yeah, money's pretty tight. Though I'd be financially irresponsible just this once if I could wreak havoc while wearing one of these ...

Recently had to deal with coming out to my friends and family in the past couple of months, and adjust to that.

That's right. Indy be one of them mythical bisexuals. Believe me, a lot of it was me figuring out for myself just what the hell was going on.

Most of my friends and my dad were pretty much okay with it. My mom, however, was in total denial until a while ago, and now she's still uncomfortable with it.

Ugh indeed...for people who are "grown up", i.e. having more experience of the world and of people, some of them are awfully quick to just shut things out, pretend things aren't happening, or that you're wrong and they're right, even when what you're telling them about is YOUR personal life.

I know. And all of the arguments saying "you're not really bi" are weak as anything.

And I suppose every 13-year-old heterosexual girl is too young to know she's straight?

That's exactly it! People only accept your sexuality as set-in-stone and certain if you're straight. If you're gay, bisexual, or asexual, you always get the "oh, you just think that, wait until you meet the right [person of opposite sex] then you'll change your mind!" or the "you're too young to know" thing (seriously, I have heard people who are about twenty get the "you're too young to know" from their parents...)

And then there are those people who think "bisexual" means "I like making out with girls in bars to get attention lolololol!" which is equally sad and annoying.

Indeed. In my opinion, it's way up there with people who go "oh, I'm DEPRESSED!" when what they really mean is "I write angsty livejournals and act fashionably moody".
