Hey. I do some sprites on a Facebook page and I saw these and was extremely impressed. I've been doing semi-custom sprites for a couple of months now, but I always use bases from other sprites. Would you mind if I use some of your sprites and do some recolors or edits? Obviously I'll give credit. And actually, I've already posted two sprites when I realized I should ask you first. I can take them down if you'd like.

That's fine. I appreciate the credit! I mentioned in one of my journal updates that I've been collecting sprites for so long that I've forgotten who some of the original creators of the sprites I've modified were. I've tried to modify the ones you see here to the point that they're basically original, but if anyone ever asked me to credit them, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

One of the reasons I posted this stuff in the first place was that once-upon-a-time I was the guy who went around grabbing every cool sprite I could fine for future use. The fact that I'm now getting to be a source for others is really cool.

Nope, just me screwing around. I have a lot of respect for the folks that can make the restricted color pallets work, but I was shooting for a more "true to game" look with these given their basis on the newest games.
