ii. she had assumed they were oblivious to her based on how they dangled their legs absentmindedly
iii. but upon hearing their voice directed towards her, she hesitated to reveal herself
iv. slowly peeked her head out of the water below him, confusion plastered on her face"i am not hiding. this is my domain."

ooc. here is ur starter :^)(/ having the day off, faust thought a great way to spend the day would be to visit the beach
(/ it was his first time going in a long time, so he was more than excited to spend some time near the water
(/ once he arrived, the first thing he did was take some pictures. he went to a spot that wasn't frequently visited by other humans so at least he could have some quality alone time
(/ as he began snapping some pictures on his camera, he couldn't help but hear a splash ; a splash too large to be any sort of fish
(/ looking around, he wondered if a human had snuck past him, and now he was just turning his head side to side, trying to figure out the source of that splash

i. the siren had been watching the humans with distaste. all the ruckus they caused, trash flown about with carelessness- all cause kanta to angrily depart from the scene.
ii. she maneuvered through the waves with surprising speed before approaching an area that was relatively quiet. her attention was drawn towards the other snapping pictures.
iii. she had dipped deeper into the water, causing a splash as she neared the shore.
iv. kanta could hear his distorted and confused greeting from underneath the water. with that, her head broke the surface to eye the stranger.
v. she had assumed they were human but there something off. she couldn’t name why but she found herself intrigued.”..hello. shouldn’t you be with your friends and family like the other humans?”
”you’re all alone.”vi. her voice was laced with curiosity and her expression appeared innocent to mask her darker intentions.

(/ seeing the woman emerge from the water, faust's eyes widened in some child-like curiosity
(/ immediately, he snapped a few pictures of her before looking them over for a moment
(/ he turned back to her, brow raised
"Oh! I don't have those."
(/ he thought about it for a moment, realizing how bad that sounded, and shook his head
"Er- I mean, I wanted to come alone today. It's a great spot for pictures!"
(/ he continued looking at her before crouching down in his spot
"Did you come from underwater? Do you have gills? I didn't know humans had gills!"

ii. the siren tilted her head in confusion at the way he addressed friends and family. surely he had a family-
iii. but her curiosity grew more at the thought that he was something different.
iv. not to mention how he referred to humans in third person excluding himself, and he was an adult. by now he should’ve known humans didn’t have gills.”..ah..yes, i do. but i am not human. i am a siren.”
”what are you? you talk as though you don’t live among humans. of course they don’t have gills. that’s why they live on land.”

(/ he had never heard of such a creature before. he knew this earth was filled with... otherworldly forces- including himself- but he'd never heard of such a thing
(/ surely, they didn't exist back in his dimension
(/ hearing the other's question, he chuckled and shook his head. he couldn't help but notice her word choice in using 'what' rather than 'who'
"Whoops, ya got me. So then, if you tell me what a siren is, I'll tell you what I am. Seem fair?"
(/ his entire demeanor seemed to change
(/ and honestly, faust really didn't care about people finding out about what he was. it was amusing to see how other creatures would react

( ii. ) after having been wandering around aimlessly for hours trying to find his way back home, he needed to rest for a while.
( iii. ) he had lived his whole life in a village surrounded by desert, so he wasn't too used to seeing the sea. while he still missed home, he had to admit this place wasn't really too bad either.
( iv. ) but this calm was interrupted when he suddenly started to feel like somebody was watching him.
( v. ) if that was an enemy, he'd be ready. he carried one of his puppets on his back, so he'd be able to fight if he had to.
( v. ) kankuro looked around, and immediately spotted the siren looking at him." ... what ? "

i. kanta had been meandering through the water near the shore, seeking a new source of entertainment.
ii.when admiring coral reefs or aquatic animals became boring, she'd often venture near land to occupy herself by interacting with humans.
iii. however, the encounters rarely lasted long. the second they approached she'd drag them under the surface.
iv. once the siren caught sight of the other, she silently peeked her eyes from above the waves a short distance from the shore to eye the stranger.
v. her lips curled into an irritated frown at his remark while revealing her face."you are near my domain. i do not take kindly to humans."vi. kanta looked him up & down, arching a brow in curiosity."your attire is odd. where are you from?"
