Favorite visual artist: The Impressionists, I love Monets colour and Renoirs subjects, but mostly Seurats use of dots to capture the light.Favorite movies: Any of the buddy movies - we have goldies...anything soppy and light hearted.
Favorite TV shows: Not much of a tv watcher, but I do like comedy.
Favorite bands / musical artists: I love country music and Dolly Parton is one of my heros.
Favorite books: I read everything, currently I am on fantasy, lots of magic and dragons.
Favorite writers: I love all genre of books, so narrowing down a favourite is impossible.
Tools of the Trade: duel fuel torch and glass rods, as well as my pencils.
Other Interests: My dogs, my chooks, my elderly cats. I love to walk in the woods and down by the river and am currently enjoying going out for meals now the kids are more grown!
# About me
I am a lampwork glass artist and jewellery designer. I am completely self taught. Having always been arty, I taught myself to draw and did attend some life drawing classes and found an art mentor and for a while I specialized in pet portraits in coloured and grahite pencil. I still draw to relax, but after finding glass I was able to combine my drawing with my love of sculpture. The jewellery was just something to do with the beads. I love wire work and am now teaching myself silver smithing. I think I am one of life dreamers, my mind is never still, I always have a project, an idea and am always wanting to make the next one...better!# Comments
