I understand this isn't an arguement, and I'm sure I caused some bad frequency towards you and your character design. I was being a critic based on my own experiences with color. And after MP replied back, I didn't feel questioning your choice on those features would aid in anything. I merely was wanting to express my opinions on them.

I'm completely okay that you chose those colors for your own reasons, and I wouldn't force you to change them. OCs are OCs because the are "original" characters.

But I've been taught to notice focal points, where the viewer's eyes tend to focus on the strong parts of the image, in which gets the most attention. Focal points can sometimes be a double-edge sword by having too much focus, and they can stray the rest of the image away and become unnoticed at a glance. This is why I wasn't digging the pale face. The white face was so much focus that I had to look away from the face to notice the other details MP did. My suggestion
to change the face's color was only a suggestion. I would have to actually experiment on Aki myself to see if my suggestion would lower the strength of the focal point and help the eye flow throughout the image easier. I'm looking into pursuing a career in character design, animation, and dabble in some creative writing for storyboards.

The eyes I have no professional reason why I don't them, they just threw me out of my comfort zone and the norm. I didn't understand why her eyes were bloodshot.

I hope I better explained myself in my opinions about Aki, and I apologize if I stepped on your toes.

Oh, don't worry! I wasn't at the least angry or anything. I just wanted to tell you why Aki's colors are that way. Excuse me if I sounded angry or upset, I was actually happy about being able to explain her colors and why they are the way they are.

Her eyes are bloodshot for some odd reason...which I'm not going to go into details sense I'm horrible at explaining things, lol.

I'm just saying but I think you would do a good job with a career in character design, animation, and dabble...! You did a good job telling me about what I could improve on Aki and etc..

And thank you for complimenting me on my critique. It gives me strength to hear someone believes in me in my career decision.

I do have some design ideas for Aki. I read she is a fox wolf crossbreed, and it made me think of some other fur designs if you like to hear them. I'm better at show than tell though, but my art has been on hold so I can focus on my college paperwork. So I can tell you my ideas if you like to hear them, then you can experiment yourself.

I've noticed sometimes Aki has a tuft of white fur on her front, and I think it would help bring out more of her wolf side if she had more white fur. Extending it up to her neck and down her inner legs and arms would be something I would experiment with. These suggestions will help create a linear line that will move the eyes up and down the character by using more white on a dark color instead of the concentration being in one spot.

I would also try adding white in her tail, hair, or back. Borrowing Rogue's hair from X-men, white highlights or streaks may prove stylish, and create multiple focal points using the same white on dark interest for the eyes.

The face itself, I'd add some brown fur around her eyes, some dark eye liner, or her upper face being brown while her muzzle can stay white like I suggested before. Lipstick may also help, like a dark pink or red. These suggestions will help decrease the focal point from the face by giving the face more interest.

I added " 's Aki Athena Character Design" to my Personal Decision List (which is getting long). When I get to it, I'll sketch my ideas into visuals for you. If you sketch them quicker than I do, please note that you can use some, none, or all the ideas as they are all suggestions to experiment with.

Hmm... very interesting suggestions... I'll see what I can do.

Yeah, Aki does why have white fur across her chest and belly but everyone except once person have forgotten to put that in the pictures I commission them (I would draw Aki but I am busy with commissions, editing is a hassle). I can experiment with putting white from her hands up to her upper half of her arm or something. I can probably give her eye shadow as well, maybe. Again, I'll have to see once I sketch something up. I do thank you though for your suggestions, I'll see what I can do about her character design.
