Well... the best tip I can give you is to look for references and have a lot of fun with opacity and different layer-mode.

Yeah, I used to watch the anime too but then decided to read the manga after the fillers happened. Ugh. XD Few of my friends who were also Naruto fans stopped watching the series. I'm the only one who keeps up with it now.
