You're quite welcome. Such an image will be quite helpful for keeping equine anatomical terms straight. (For example, I had thought that the withers were part of the back end of a horse, not between the shoulder blades.)

Heh! A lot of people apparently make the same assumption about withers. Now that mechanization mostly has replaced horses in everyday applications and the majority of the human population lives in cities rather than the country, an awful lot of information that once was important for the average person to know is falling, or has fallen, out of widespread use.

Of course, the terms used in the chart are unique to English. I’m sure they differ widely across other languages, though some Western European languages may use cognates in some cases.

I had a question about the submission rules. I had asked this on my join request, but I don't believe anyone saw it as join requests are evidently auto-accepted.
The rules state that the group won't accept 'any non-canon, non-equine species', but there's an asterisk next to this that does not appear to be explained anywhere. So, is it acceptable to submit such art if these creatures are interacting with ponies, or is it totally forbidden to submit such pictures? This is an important distinction for me as I make a lot of crossover pictures.

You're correct! We auto-accept join requests.
As for your question, it's totally ok to have these non-canon, non-equine species if they're with a pony. The only time you can't submit a picture of these species is if the picture has no ponies or canon species to go with them. So crossover pictures should be fine so long as there's something canon in them.
