# About me

Hi my name is John Gallagher. From about 1990 onwards I was a self employed freelance artist specialising mainly in working as a party caricaturist for a number of entertainment firms, but I also did comic strips, illustrations, book covers and cartoons. I also ran my own self published range of horror comics BEDLAM, USHER and VALKYRIES. I collaborated with ‘Archaic’ Al Hewetson on restoring and publishing The Complete Sage of the Victims and with ‘Awkward’ Augustine Funnell on Monster Monster so, if you haven’t guessed it yet, Yes… I’m a big Skywald ‘Horror-Mood’ fan. I had to put my own career on hold a few years back to take care of my elderly parents but, as they’ve both now sadly passed away, I am trying to rebuild my own life and get back into doing my art again. I am interested in taking commissions, but the price will obviously vary depending upon the difficulty of the job. Simple black and white cartoons £30, re-painting the Sistine Chapel... a bit more.
