Thanks! Β I had a very happy birthday. Β Β I went out to Rock 'n' Brews (a restaurant franchise co-owned by Gene Simmons, with lots of rock memorabilia, classic rock videos playing on big screens around the place, and such). Β It just so happened that they had a classic car (and motorcycle) show in the parking lot that day. Β Too bad I didn't have my camera with me. Β Β (Next week I DID remember. Β No car show that week, but as I was coming in the front door, the attendant told me to turn around -- and as I did and looked, I could see the trail of a rocket going up. Β This place was out in the middle of a wide field, without much building-up nearby, so there were no obstructing trees or buildings, and for once it was a not-cloudy day. Β I managed to snap off a picture of that, but ... eh, it's just a vertical trail in the sky. Β I guess it's just one of those "you had to be there" things.)
But I digress. Β There was a DeLorean (the stainless steel kind, a la Back to the Future), tons of Mustangs of various years, an old 1952 Ford F1 pickup (the kind the Fallout "Pick-R-Up" truck is modeled after), some crazy cars on overblown hydraulic suspension, some '50s hot rods ... but I think my favorite was this beat-up-looking car that looked like someone had taken a '30s coupe and "Mad-Maximized" it with an engine that needed cut-outs in the hood to make room for, with bolted-on bits of scrap metal here and there, and lots of rust. Β The catch was ... it wasn't really rust. Β The car had been done up with texture effects and spray-painted "dust." Β No car wash would ever help THAT car. Β Very cool.
Also, since this is Florida, the weather was just about perfect out on the deck. Β Oh yeah, and the food was pretty good, too.
Anyway, I hope your Holidays are Happy! Β (I'm too late to wish a Merry Christmas, unless retroactively, or very, VERY early.)

Nice work on zombicide figurines !
I started yesterday to paint mine

Thanks! I need to find the time to get back to painting the rest of my figures. I've put some detail into the heroes, but for the zombies themselves, I haven't really done more than to just slap on some basic colors (for variety) and apply some washes.

There are so much zombie that this is quite hard to paint them all, I've painted only two of them yet !

Exactly! That's why I've tried to go through the minis all-at-once, basically -- though I'm not sure that it's really the better way of doing it. In other words, I take the whole mess of zombies, and base coat them. Then, get out the grey-blue "jean" color and go down the line and find what minis can use that color, and paint some in. Then let's get out the brown. Etc. Got everything roughly covered? Black acrylic wash all down the line. Etc. Not a one of them is FINISHED, but at least all of them are somewhere along in the process, and I think it makes them look better on the table than if I had a few finished and all the rest of them *not* finished. (At least, that's my theory.)
On the other hand, it remains to be seen whether I'll actually ever finish the lot of them, or whether I'll just keep stringing the whole thing along. (There is a certain advantage, a MEASURE OF PROGRESS in doing one mini at a time, so I can say with certainty how many are DONE, versus a very hard-to-quantify estimate of how far in the *process* I am with the whole lot at once.)

I wonder if it was better to paint all of them at once, colour by colour or to paint one at a time too.
But finally I chose to paint one figurine at a time even if I loose coherence between all the minis !
It will probably take much more time to paint all minis once at a time, but the aim for me is to train myself and test some techniques and colour schemes !
by the way I added a runner if you want to see the result, it' s far from perfection but it's painted ^^
see you and keep on !
(by the way bis, your others stuff seem great too !)

Wow, it's amazing to find you on dA! I bumped into your Unicorn gallery sort of two years ago, and I loved it since then! Then, one year later, I became a brony, and now I discover you draw MLP stuff too! It's just too awesome *-*
I really love your art, your unicorns are gorgeous ^3^

Thanks! I'm glad you appreciate it. I have some nieces and cousins who are really into MLP, so I've gotten a few requests -- plus, one of my fellow gamers has run a "Ponyville Horror" (Call of Cthulhu/MLP crossover) adventure as a gag at "RavenCon" in the Carolinas, and I drew up some designs of PCs and NPCs as paper figures for the game. I actually have a few "pony adventurer" designs I need to get around to finishing up in Adobe Illustrator, so I can put together a pdf of paper figure flats of "generic pony adventurers."

Great! Unfortunately I've never found occasion to do MLP-related RP - also RP in general, though I'm a fan of them...gamer pals are so rare to find! - but nonetheless I'm always interested in seeing your works

In case it might be relevant, here's the "My Savage Pony" thread from the Pinnacle forums -- where basically a few people have tried to adapt the Savage Worlds RPG in various ways to run "My Little Pony" themed adventures (with varying degrees of trying to stay true to the cartoon, or to take it off in completely different directions).
