I'm so sorry to hear about you losing your cat, I know exactly what that feels like. I lost my favorite cat extremely suddenly to liver problems two years ago, and he was only 10 at the time. It never feels like you had enough time with them... But just remember that it'll be okay. If you're looking for new cats, I recommend getting two kittens at the same time. They keep each other company so it's surprisingly less work, and you have twice the adorableness to play with. I wish you nothing but the best, and I hope you find a new companion, or pair of companions just as lovable, sweet, and smart as Ryley was.
P.S. You probably know this already (since you said you like smart animals) but remember to get the cats with the apple-shaped heads, not the ones with the pear-shaped long muzzles. Apple-head cats are smarter (more brain space inside the skull).

oh I'm so sorry you lost a feline friend as well. No amount of time is ever enough lol Yeah I recently adopted two kittens so they could keep each other company. One girl and one boy. They will never replace Ryley but they fill a void in my life that he left when he passed. Thanks so much Henry!
