Val starts to shake, too hurt to even cry as he just sits there looking on the ground, scared to look at Kosei again.

The legendary sees this, and he slowly starts to revert back to his normal self, taking off the collar with strain.

Kosei is on the ground trying to catch his breath and compose himself for only a few seconds. And Val just stares at him hoping that he's okay.

And Kosei is, eventually. 

But when Kosei reaches out to Val.

Val just flinches, and seizes up, and he doesn't move from his touch but his skin goes cold and he always looks so terrified. Val wants the hug, he wants the reassurance and comfort that Kosei is offering with all his heart. 

But he can't accept it because 

1. That severed the trust a good bit

2. He feels like the ordeal was his own fault so he doesn't deserve it

3. Because he doesn't want Kosei to get close to him any longer. If that happens, kosei's just gonna get into trouble again because Val himself is a bad omen.

The blood drips onto the ground and seeps into Kosei's kimono as he holds Val tightly, trying to keep the pieces of broken glass together. Kosei doesn't even apologize, knowing that he didn't deserve forgiveness so they just hold one another in silence thinking that they're only able to hurt one another.
