As for Sanders...well.
A lot of people on the far-left see Sanders, Ocasio-Cortez, and the Democrats as doing too little, too late; they're trying to patch over the inherent faults of the system with meagre solutions (higher taxes, more regulations, etc.), while trying to trying to preserve the basic framework, which, in and of itself, is incompatible with such solutions.
Put it this way: A boat, still tied to its dock, has some ghastly breaches in the hull, and is sinking...quite fast...
Republicans and Libertarians say: "Don't worry! All we have to do is keep chopping away at the hull and pray to God Above until there is no hull left for water to leak through!
Democrats, Centre-Leftists, and Sanders say: "Don't worry! All we need is just some flex-tape and a dream!"
Communists, Socialists, and Anarchists say: "Why don't we just ditch this boat and build a new one?"
