Β Hello, I'd like to thank you for the llama you gave me! This question might seem immature but how do you come up with such odd creatures? Do you base them off hybrid of animals you come up with or is it a spawned to my mind process, I love it either ways. The coloring style fascinates me!

Hm, my process kind of goes a few directions and its always changing it seems! (If you'd like to know more about a certain piece you can ask! I can surely try my best to explain!)
To be honest sometimes I just start with a circle for an eye and do random lines/squiggles for various jaw lines/head shapes/body shapes. Though sometimes I just scribble lightly and fill in spaces that look like an animal to my eyes. I've certainly considered animal hybrids in a lot of my work, but its never the front thought. I usually only see the hybrid species after a finished piece. (Never really considering it looking like X this or X that till someone points it out or I look back on it.) Another thing is I sometimes straight up dream (sleeping) a strange creature up and try my best to replicate it through art. Those always tend to be the black and white pieces even considering I dream in full color and memory of them.Β
I don't preach or understand color theory as I find I just put colors on paper that pleases my eyes... Just to elaborate on the coloring process I sometimes do the yellows/pinks first and always consider blue my "far away/shady" parts. Β I think thats why a lot of those more colorful creatures look alike.Β
Oh I also make up stories in my head for some of the creatures. (May sound craaazy I know..) Not always in the process of creation but after everything is done. I've been trying to expand mediums recently so everything is all awkward but familiar. I just enjoy creation and sharing most of all.Β

Wow that was a lot to take in, I find it very interesting that your process is very odd like the dream state. But I'm not one to judge of course, dreams help me elaborate on ideas!
Also I don't think coming up with stories is crazy, in fact I think everyone doesn't it coming up with their character, if they have a good one. Like what would this character do and why do they do this and why do they wear that etc.
If I find anymore questions (which I'm sure I will) I will most definitely ask.
